Someone should remind the Pointers' public address announcer that he's not a cheerleader.  PA announcers are neutral narrators of the game.

While watching the game online, the broadcast booths in UWSP's press box must not be separated from each other. The game was broadcasted online by the student announcers, but they seemed to have a hard time talking over the radio announcers next to them. Sounded like 4 people were sharing one microphone.

I was reading some of the posts on the Wabash- Witt game- where Witt thumped them pretty good.
There were some statements made about Wabash's offensive struggles, where their O has mostly relied on their D and special teams- and when the D couldn't carry the day and special teams weren't special- the O couldn't get it done on their own. It's exactly what scares me about UWW' offense.

It's hard to imagine UWW's D not getting it done- but IF it happened could the O get it done?

Really?

I have a feeling retagent has something to say about UWW's PA announcer.

No. I was just wondering where this is written. Do you have a source on that? I too, find some things annoying, but some things just have to be endured.

Some rhetorical questions are just meant to be put out there and never have a chance to be answered.  ;)

Prior to the season beginning the NCAA distributed a video that deals with the PA and other game officials such as clock operator, play clock operator, etc..  In it they make it clear how the PA is expected to announce the game.  I know this for a fact because I viewed it.  The PA is expected to be a neutral narrator of the game.  In theory they should use the same inflection of voice when announcing things for both teams.  If yesterday's performance was simply a matter of inflection I wouldn't have bothered to comment about it.  However it goes well beyond that when the PA starts telling the crowd to get loud when their opponent is facing third down or to get behind their team at critical points in the game.  It's simply unprofessional.

Now those of you who found it necessary to ding my karma for commenting can feel free to ding it again.  Of course you'll have to wait till tomorrow to do it.

The WARHAWKS varsity reserve team finished their season 3-0 with a 23-14 win over the Pointers today.  The Pointers rallied from a 10-7 deficit to lead 14-10 but the WARHAWKS scored 13 points in the game's final 5 minutes or so.

Is varsity reserve another way of saying JV? Or does UWW have two teams outside the varsity? Serious question
