Wow, what a difference 8 years makes.  This is one big lovefest as opposed to the banter prior to the 05 game.  ;D But let me join in, 11 and Voice, both do great jobs on their websites for their teams.  Thank you to both! A huge congrats to the WARHAWKS on a big win Saturday and a fantastic defensive showing.  I could only listen to the broadcast as I helped wallpaper a wall in my older son's basement.  But will be back in the Perk on Saturday for the third installment of the Hawks/Cats clash!  Bringing The Blanchards with us! Can't wait. ;)

Anyone who attended, watched or listened to one, or both of the previous Linfield vs. UW-Whitewater Playoff Games (44-41 2005) (27-17 2009) understands the intense respect that has developed.

For you UW-Whitewater football fans, I strongly recommend that you check out the unofficial Linfield College Football fan Website. Advantage CATDOME is an amazing site that gives the viewer a healthy dose of Linfield College football news, video features, and more. Wildcat 11's Website is what I strive for on my own Website. In advance of Saturday's Linfield at Whitewater D3 quarterfinal at the Perk click on the link to get an up close view of what makes Linfield fans so passionate about their football program.

Sheesh Voice, you're going to make me blush!  Thank you for the very kind words.  Warhawkfootball.com has been a must visit for me for years to keep with your guys.  It's a standout website. Thank you again and I'll see you at the Perk.
Bringing GHC with you?   Invite to our tailgate, officially, extended to you both!   :-*

I'd be interested to know, just for giggles, how the UW-P folks would compare the NCC and UW-W squads now that they've faced both. (I guess this could go for the other 3 WIAC teams NCC played, but since those were so early in the season I don't know if they're relevant games). Anything?

It's just Monday.  I'm sure there will be a different tone by the time we get to Friday.   ;D

Both NCC and UWW has some work to do before worrying about that comparison.

Seems to be a misunderstanding...I wasn't asking b/c I was looking ahead, I was asking b/c UWW (like Mount) is generally a standard bearer for being a legit title contender. Thought a scouting report, of sorts, from a team that has recently played both schools would give us NCC people a better idea of where we stand in comparison to the big boys, since we haven't arrived on the national scene as yet (save for 2010).

Personally, I believe NCC will take care of Mount. Who they face in the Stagg is still open between three teams (sorry SJF).

I would be interested in that info too. Unfortunately we don't get many UWP posters here and now that they're out, we may not get an answer.
Like 02 says below, there are a few of us that feel NCC needn't worry about where you stand in comparison to the Big Boys. NCC is there and it seems it's just a matter of the team playing to its capabilities and strengths.

I was at the P-ville WW game and unfortunately can only look at the stat sheet for the NCC game.  One difference is WW's defense shut down P-ville's offense they only had one TD drive and a FG on offense and a pick 6 got them their other score.  WW held P-ville to 270 yard of total offense compared to the 432 they got against NCC.  Against WW P-ville had only one sustained scoring drive but against NCC they had 4 scoring drives of 8 or more plays.  But to be fair to NCC they gained nearly 600 yards against P-ville's defense compared to WW's 438.  But I agree with the post that both have some work to do before we really have to worry about comparing NCC & WW.  From a Platteville perspective this season was a blast and I hope it's just the beginning of a bright future for Pioneer football.
