UW-W must have played in 12 toss ups then because there hasn't really been any mixing it up on the boards all year long this year. We think our guys are going to win (well, other than 02 who has been in love with the Cats all year. But before you get too much relief from that, he also picked UW-P to "run away" with the WIAC this year.)  You think your guys are going to win.  We'll find out tomorrow. Weather won't be a factor (no precipitation and wind under 10 mph according to weather.com). Should be a good one.

I had a dream a few days ago that UWW lost to Linfield 42-14, but I have never had a dream where UWW won so you can take that with a grain of salt, hoping for the best!

I have a feeling you made similar predictions in 2005 (UWW), 2009 (UWW) and 2012 (UWO).

However, I think Linfield has a good chance to win this game. Hell, I even picked them to win the Stagg Bowl in the brackets competition. But I would gladly rip up my sheet with a Whitewater win tomorrow.

   I just have watched our D go into shutdown mode time and time again this year.  They are ballers, make big plays as WW does.  I was at the 05 heartbreaker game when a certian WW LB that 413 is related to made THE big play.

In looking at the Linfield roster, I see quite a few players who are from SoCal, or Hawaii. It seems to me that the frigid conditions could affect those individuals more - especially mentally - than those who have some experience with playing in that type of weather. It will affect all players, but having experience with it could be a big advantage. Those players who see spotty time, punters, kickers, other special teams players, and reserves who come in due to injury, or other reasons, will have it more difficult, IMHO.

By this time of year, retagent, the warm weather boys are used to the weather, which has been almost Minnesota-like in Oregon this week. Tomorrow they will have ice water in their veins.

Not sure "weather" you really know how cold it will be tomorrow. If the sun is out, it will make a difference, if not, think "The Ice Bowl" between Dallas and Green Bay many years ago. But you've seen the films.
