Just like last week, all three Triple Takers are picking UWW to lose.  All close, but no cigar.  Deja vu?
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Pat on Triple Take:
QuotePat's take: I said at the beginning of the playoffs that UMHB was going to be tough to beat at home. It's hard for me to go against that now, even though I think UWW comes into Belton in a little better shape of the two teams. UMHB's offense is a bit unsettled, without the dominant running back it's had in the past or the stellar quarterback it had the past two years. And the defense might be missing Silvio Diaz Saturday, from what I've heard. Enough to make the entire difference? No. I still like UMHB enough at home. UW-Whitewater hasn't allowed 21 points all year, but it hasn't gone to Mary Hardin-Baylor yet either.

That could a huge difference maker.

The more I think about it, maybe the Triple Take Guys all prognosticating UWW's end to the season on Saturday is a good sign for the Warhawks.  The Hawks are on a business trip this week and ready for the showdown deep in the heart of Texas. I sure wish I could be down there!!!

They all picked Linfield to defeat Wisconsin - Whitewater last week too....

Can I take this same reasoning to NCC's? 2 of the 3 picked Mt U to win. Please say yes.
You win! You always do!

I just talked to my correspondents on the ground down in Texas. Warhawks just wrapping up a "walk through" practice at the Killeen High School football stadium. They'll have a first look at UMHB's Crusader Stadium with a walk through late this afternoon.
Weather tomorrow calling for partly cloudy skies and windy (20 to 30 mph) with a top temp of 52 degrees.

Is it safe to say that the entire D-3 world is holding its breath this weekend seeing if Mount can make it to the final again and keep the streak alive? NCC looks to be REALLY, REALLY tough. Just imagine if NCC and UWW advance. This will be the FIFTH WIAC team NCC will face this year. If they win that they could also get honorary WIAC champ shirts or something too?

Well, I hope not. This weekends games are very very good match-ups to be sure. I can't wait to watch.

Go Hawks!

I've been off the grid for awhile...want to say best of luck to UWW this weekend. Pound the Rock...I think thats your motto, right?  ;D

A couple things popped into my head.

1.  Per the D3 home page, the UMHB QB throws with his mouth open, that's a good sign for UWW.

All we can tell is he had made one throw in his life that way. :)

If NCC beats Mount and UWW beats MHB, I give them less than a 5% chance of beating UWW next week in Salem.   First time on the big stage?   Nope.   Going with the experienced, better defensive team.    MHB has an advantage too, but nearly as big as UWW would have.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

You know, I am just happy that all three picked against UWW in the Triple Take.  At least they are consistent.   It also pleases me that they still believe that UWW is a run first team and that they think we have no stars.

The reality is that we pass to open up the run.  We have an extraordinarily accurate quarterback, who makes good decisions.  We have weapons at all receiver positions.   Tyler Huber two years ago was a pre-season All-American and now he is fully healthy.  Jake Kumerow is in position to break season receiving records of Derek Stanley and Justin Howard is a tremendous slot receiver who also by the way, excels at returning punts and kick-offs.   Oh....and why isn't the offense the same...well we have all....all brand new offensive coaches and the philosophy has changed.

We have 4 senior linebackers that rotate all of which have received post season accolades over both of the last two years.   We have excellent secondary.  The fact that Brady Gravold was left off the all Region team is incredible.

No we don't have any one star who carries the team....we have a bunch of stars that all work as cohesive units on all three phases.

Even though most folks [on the other lists] have gone on the other side, I didn't set my spread at UWW -3.5 lightly.

I don't understand why folks are focusing on 2012.

I will pick the best D over the best O every time!

Did I say that? Shoot -- maybe I better take Kumerow off our All-American team. ;)
