Where is this stagg bowl bus info? I doubt I could get off but it might be worth a try. I at least was able to redo my schedule and come in a half hour early so I'm not leaving work right when the game comes on.

Game should have been scheduled at 8 to accomodate viewers in the MW and Western states.

I said screw it, I bought the ticket, never know if they'll be able to get back again and I do have days saved up to take a sick day. First one ever actually.  8-)

Now to try and get out of work 2.5 hours early on Thursday to actually be able to get my ticket before the office closes at 5.  ???

Matt Behrendt enters Friday night's Stagg Bowl with 36 TD passes. That ties him with Justin Jacobs for most TD passes in a season for UWW.

Behrendt needs one touchdown pass to break the record and Jake Kumerow needs one more touchdown catch to break that record.  Kumerow is 100 yards shy of the single season record for receiving yardage.  Kindler is four field goals shy of Schebler's record.

That was the brightest spot to me coming out of last week's game, that Kumerow didn't have a bust out game. I expected him to get a lot of looks, but whatever our D did, they shut him down for most of the game. That's a big step up for our D. But DANG, that TE was a beast!!

Yea, MHB has a very good defense. I was curious how much UWW was going to be able to score off them leading into the game.

Considering MHB only lost by one, I'm sure Diaz couldn't be happy with himself knowing he possibly could have made a difference in the outcome.

That's a tough spot for the coach to be put into.   I'm glad he stuck to his guns and didn't make any special concessions just because the player in question was important.   That kind of leadership pays off in the long run in terms of program stability and future player accountability.   Two previous pre-Stagg suspensions that I can remember are the Trinity QB in 2002 and Mount's DE in either '09 or '10 (can't remember year/getting too old).   Either way, the players made a stupid mistake that put their coaches/schools in a tough spot.   Wonder how many times a player making those kind of mistakes simply gets swept under the rug and we never hear about it?    Unfortunately I have a feeling it's more times than the position that MHB took last week.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

So who is going to Salem?  Saw that UWW is taking reservations for a fan bus - if I can get Friday off that might be my best option.  What about everyone else?

I'll be there. Flying out Thursday morning. Should be arriving at hotel around 5:30 or so. Should be ready to begin pre-game festivities by 5:31 or so.  ;D

For the record, UWW is on the home side this year.  Just talked to the box office out there and reserved a pair.  They confirmed Home side.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

You could have bought a ticket with your fan bus reservation, that's what I did. Work smarter, not harder!  8-)

You can spot me coming on the bus wearing a big UWW sweatshirt and looking lost.  :P

I wanted to give a giant Well Done to Matt Behrendt for his overall game and in particular, the play where he got sacked in the first quarter.  He was really nailed from behind to the point his helmet got knocked out of place- yet he held on to the ball.  That play doesn't show up in the stats for him, but it's one of his best of the day.

Damn, which means less TV face time for the WARHAWK fans.  Main camera's are on top of the home side of the stadium.  Going to have to look at a lot of purple suits............  >:( ;D

I assume, (too lazy to look it up,) that is one of the records that was originally held by Bob Brezowitz before Justin?  Bob held it for many, many decades before Justin broke it but, if broken again by Matt, will only have taken another 7 years.  What a difference multi year play-off games/championship seasons make to the record books.  8-)

Maybe their mommy and daddies won't spring for them to go this year.

I remember that play really well.  It got a big reaction from both fanbases...a jubilant "ohh!" and a painful, "ohh!"  Same word, different inflection.  While it was impressive he held the ball, I was more impressed with how he didn't let it effect his play the rest of the game.  I leaned over to the guy standing next to me at the hit and said, "We'll need to see if that play stays with him."  It didn't, and he kept scrambling around as if it never happened.  Good toughness out of the guy.

I'll be there.  Stop by and say hi, will be with the stone station people as usual.  only guy wearing wesley garb so i wont be hard to find.  safe travels.

In case anyone wants to re-live Saturday:

If you go on ESPN's website, you can go to the College Football Scoreboard - Week 16, Drop-down box to get to Div II/III - you get the score for both semi-final games (along with some D2 scores).  There is a "Replay" click available to watch the ESPN3 broadcast from Saturday.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I see the Stone Station tailgate starts at 1 PM on Friday.  I thought I remember seeing some sort of Whitewater-centric tailgate party mentioned starting at 4:30, but now I can't find anything on it.  Does anyone have info on that, or was I hallucinating?
