Congrats to UWW...you are the current kings of DIII and deserve the moniker.  You put it to the Raiders like I have never seen in 40 years.
I have no doubt the Raiders will retool, and return...
Enjoy the win and happy holidays...

Congratulations to the 2013 UW-Whitewater Warhawks! National Champions! The coaches, the players, and everyone in the program did an awesome job.  To beat Linfield, UMHB (on the road), and Mount Union in consecutive weeks is an incredible accomplishment.

It has been a great couple of days in the Salem area. It was nice to meet Olinemom, Wesleydad, and a few of the Mount guys.  Thank you to the Stone Station people for all of their work. The spread was incredible.

Hawks, you left no doubt: WIWA!

And PurpleSuit: HOW YA LIKE US NOW!  ;)
Wow, wow, wow, what can you say about this group of youngsters who, absolutely, dominated last night to bring home #5!   Just, WOW!  I have to say, I don't think I have enjoyed a championship win more, with the exception of the first one in 07, of course. Voice has been posting pictures and memories on facebook, beginning the week of the Linfield game and it snowballed this past week.  I began sharing some great pics as well, along with many former players,  and we all had a wonderful time reminiscing and reconnecting.  Even had one of my favorite ex-teammate's of my son call me yesterday before the game along with receiving a text, after the game, from my favorite AD.  Win or lose, that was enough for me but then after all that, to watch the week culminating in an incredible performance like that!  Just had a ton of fun!!!!  Those boy's play was just inspired!  BP, you old prognosticator, you!  You could not have been more right on in believing in this team for months now, their potential, their chemistry, the coaching prowess, etc!!!!  What a great game to peak!
A huge congrats to the players, staff, fans and the entire WARHAWK family!  Seniors, you have just joined a very special group of alumni WARHAWK players, many who gathered together last night to watch your incredible effort and success!  Congrats on a wonderful career and thank you.  You did us proud! This program, is indeed, "Powered By Tradition!"
And to top it all off, we get Matt, who played fantastic last night, and Kumerow back, just to name a few, and to quote a certain poster, "this oline is ridiculously young!"  Huge props to Jimmy Norris and OL Coach Agpalsa for turning babies into men!   ;) ;D If this, "offense is vanilla," then I will take a triple scoop, hold the hot fudge and peanuts!!!   8-)   And of course, we know the DEFENSE will reload.

Oh ya, and........................

My favorite stat: Since 2006, MU is 114-0 against the rest of the nation and 1-5 against UWW.  Amazing.  Congrats to you guys.  You make all of the WIAC very proud.

Thanks SG.

One of Kumerow's touchdown catches was #6 on SportsCenter's Top 10 and one of Huber's was #4.

Finally, it seems like it's taken forever but we no longer have an overall losing record against UMU.  It's ironic that our first two games against them are considered by many to have in large part supplied the blueprint leading to our current success.

I just wish it had exposed those Wisconsin linemen and LB's to the benefits of an out of state education and they had chosen to go to Ohio after seeing Mount Union come to town.

Huge props to the UWW coaching staff. Coach Borland is hands down the best D-coordinator in D3 football.  Congratulations to the entire ALL new Offensive coaches.  Congrats to Coach Liepold on recognizing the quality of coaches he has and allowing them to do their thing and not micro-managing.

All season long we have seen all three phases contribute and actually be the difference in a game. All phases stepped up last night.  The Warhawk game plan was perfect.

Lastly huge props to Bleedpurple for recognizing the quality early and starting WIWA!  Early this week he said to me that while everyone expects our D to be dominant that he thought the O would be dominant.

Just Outstanding!!!!

Almost home. You know, I have never had such cheerful ride in the rain as today.   :D
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Congrats to all UWW players, coaches and fans on another title in your incredible run.

NewHawk

An unbelievable game by an offensive line that has been under the microscope all year.  Imagine that most of them have 3 more years to just get better.  The offense looked as dominant as the defense always is.  An amazing game by an amazing team.  The only bad thing about winning the Championship is that it means the season is over.  I might not be the first to say it, but I can't wait until next year

I remember there was quite a bit of talk last year about the TD/INT ratio that Mr. Wara had at Oshkosh.  I think it was 30/5 which is nothing to sneeze at.  However.....

Maybe I just missed it, but when you see Mr. Behrendt's final number of 40 TD passes and just ONE INT, one can't help but comment.

That ratio is absolutely ridiculous!!!!
