Huge props to the UWW coaching staff. Coach Borland is hands down the best D-coordinator in D3 football.  Congratulations to the entire ALL new Offensive coaches.  Congrats to Coach Liepold on recognizing the quality of coaches he has and allowing them to do their thing and not micro-managing.

All season long we have seen all three phases contribute and actually be the difference in a game. All phases stepped up last night.  The Warhawk game plan was perfect.

Lastly huge props to Bleedpurple for recognizing the quality early and starting WIWA!  Early this week he said to me that while everyone expects our D to be dominant that he thought the O would be dominant.

Just Outstanding!!!!

Excuse me , my good man, but you need to update your sig!!!
You are correct!   Done, ah looks so much better!

Yeah, but why can't it be the pre-2009 Whitewater they returned to?   :)

Congrats WW! The results not so surprising, but the score?

I knew about 2007 when I gave my year.  I thought including that would help keep Mount Union on their toes.

All kidding aside, the fact of the matter is that right now, and over the last few years, UWW has been the premier program in DIII.  Last year was a bad year for y'all, but even Mount Union got beat once in a while.  That didn't always mean they weren't the top program, I just means they lost a game.  Even with last year, I'm still naming y'all the top.  Mount has had an unparalleled run that continued this year,  but even so I'd say they're the second program in the country with UMHB, Linfield, NCC and maybe a couple of others right on their heels.

I'd say he has a shot at one record, but unless he runs in a couple fakes for a TD, 24 pts is probably a safe lead.  Really impressive and I never realized how good/consistent/long lasting the UWW kicker is.  I think Mount Union would be pleased if they could hold UWW to attempting four field goals.  It means they're bending like they have most of the year, but holding strong when they need to.

The way our defense has played the last 2 months, the scoring record is in jeopardy from 24 extra point kicks.

Thanks for dropping by Lou (Holtz).   ;)

I tried to tell you guys, but no one wanted to listen.   It took every bit of effort,  opportunity, luck, whatever for this Mount team to make it to Salem.    Burke could only carry them so long.

Congrats to UWW.    They played well and deserved the title.   See you next year.   Hopefully this time with a Mount Union-esque O and D line.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

HS Coach, couldn't agree more, the extra 5 weeks of practice certainly should help when the Phoenix that ended the 2013 season rises in the new year. Could have easily been a 2-3 loss season but fortune and KB prevailed. Hats off to UWW on the most complete dismantling of Mount I, and probably many others, have ever seen. Congratulations and an early Merry Christmas to all

Sheesh... I step away from our beloved WIAC board here for two days, and what happens? I check in tonight and the next thing I know, Whitewater wins yet another title!  ;)

Growing up in the '70s as a Packer fan, and losing to the Purple People Eaters from Minnesota every year (4x Super Bowl losers), stung... And now, the rest of the WIAC and D3 experiencing this onslaught of PURPLE yet another year, again... Ouch!  ;)

Congrats to UWW...

P.S. What are you feeding the fellas in them there parts of our state?

Merry Christmas to my fellow WIACers and their families, and the rest of the D3 posters, too

So many good things happened in the game but to me the most amazing performance is by the Oline......a very young Oline protected our QB, opened numerous holes, and avoided penalties.....they are all returning and should be even better next year. Cudos to the coaches and players...you made some old Oline people very proud. Pound the Rock.....

The offensive line was without a doubt the biggest question mark of the year and you had to love the answer.  I knew our defense could get us there if the offense held up their end of the deal.  Watching the offensive line improve week in and week out was really something.  The defense was exactly what I expected it to be but the offense far, far exceeded my expectations and to cap it off with a performance like the Stagg Bowl dotted the exclamation point.  This year was just a hell of a lot of fun.
