I'd say he has a shot at one record, but unless he runs in a couple fakes for a TD, 24 pts is probably a safe lead.  Really impressive and I never realized how good/consistent/long lasting the UWW kicker is.  I think Mount Union would be pleased if they could hold UWW to attempting four field goals.  It means they're bending like they have most of the year, but holding strong when they need to.

The way our defense has played the last 2 months, the scoring record is in jeopardy from 24 extra point kicks.

Thanks for dropping by Lou (Holtz).   ;)

I tried to tell you guys, but no one wanted to listen.   It took every bit of effort,  opportunity, luck, whatever for this Mount team to make it to Salem.    Burke could only carry them so long.

Congrats to UWW.    They played well and deserved the title.   See you next year.   Hopefully this time with a Mount Union-esque O and D line.

Thanks HSCoach. It was nice to meet you, albeit brief.

And I know you tried to tell us about Mount, but you know we are an easily confused bunch. And with you picking Mount in the OAC pick ems, well we just didn't know what to think.  ;)

HScoach

Nice meeting you too.

In regards to my pick of Mount in the OAC Pick-Ems, that was my heart's vote.   Not my head's.     Also hard to publicly pick against them when you're in the booth next to the coaches.    ;)

I knew we'd have a terrible time stopping UWW, regardless of what the UWW stats said.   We struggled to stop W&J in round one playing with a back-up freshman QB .    And I knew Burke would have to play perfect for Mount to be able to stay in a shootout, but the pressure from your front 4 was too disruptive.    Our best chance of applying pressure to UWW was the out & up route by Gainor on the first playbof the 3rd quarter.    DB was toast and Gainor was gone for game tying 80 yard TD except Burke was under pressure again and couldn't set his feet.   Hence the throw was over the wrong shoulder, pulling Gainor out of bounds.   Good play, but not what Mount needed.    Under no circumstances am I naive enough to think Mount wins if they hit that play, but it at least would have given them some energy and momentum to stay in it longer.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I remember there was quite a bit of talk last year about the TD/INT ratio that Mr. Wara had at Oshkosh.  I think it was 30/5 which is nothing to sneeze at.  However.....

Maybe I just missed it, but when you see Mr. Behrendt's final number of 40 TD passes and just ONE INT, one can't help but comment.

That ratio is absolutely ridiculous!!!!
WISC TV 3 in Madison mentioned Behrent's TD to INT ratio I feel lucky I saw his one INT P-ville's Jason Flagg's pick 6 was about the only highlight for Platteville that day.

Congrats to WW you represented the WIAC well.  The WIAC had the top WW, the 9th UWP, and the 11th UWO ranked teams in the final poll that should end any debate on which conference is the best.

There isn't much more to be said that hasn't already been said about UWW's performance in the Stagg Bowl.  I'd have to say it was the most impressive performance in all 4 phases (coaching included) I've ever seen from UWW.  This statement isn't the same as saying the team "played over their heads" or got lucky it all came together in this one game.

The UWW game plan allowed the D3 world to see, on the Big Stage, just how talented the players and coaches are- and I'm truly as happy for them as I am about the victory.  We saw an incredible game plan, executed by tremendous football players and managed by great coaches.

Well done UWW and thanks for this most memorable season.

Sigh.  We go from the highest of highs (Friday night) to ....  the demotion of football down the d3boards.com page.  Hmmph.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Still can't believe the score of the game, love it, but still can't believe it. Hopefully UWW will be back next year, almost the entire offense but the defense will be the question mark next year but then again the defense has been outstanding for 9 years now but then again this was the best defense that UWW has ever had.

While I still have much respect for the Mount fans on this board and the older Mount fans I encountered at the Stagg I've lost respect for its student body. Was sworn at repeatedly by every UMU student I saw "f*** UWW" and "f*** you!" being the most comment or my particular favorite "Go UWW! Just kidding f*** you, you bad word for a gay person". Happy to say I didn't hear any retaliation from the UWW fans besides a very few "you f***ed ups" mixed in during the game but it wasn't a repeated chance, no matter how much DOC deludes himself.

And I know I'm early again, but any idea when the schedule for the next year is usually released?

I would think the schedule won't be determined for another 6 months or so. I guess it all depends how quickly they fill it out.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Thanks BW- and the same to you and your family.

And Merry Christmas to Warhawk Nation as well as ALL posters that come around these parts.

Thanks for posting and adding even greater enjoyment to the football season.

I re-watched the game last night. Following Huber's second TD catch, the camera panned the uww crowd and I spotted a couple d3board regulars on TV! I saw Emma cheering with his lucky playoff sweatshirt on, with bleed standing in front of him....if I'm not mistaking.  ;D

I believe it. That game pretty much felt like a party in the stands. Too bad you couldn't make it.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone.
Merry Christmas and  a Happy New Year to All.   Thanks to everyone for truly adding to my enjoyment of D3 football.   We have a wonderful group of people/posters who share their insights and many who attend games.  We should all count our blessings and enjoy how fortunate we are to share this together.
