No carping here about how the 12 - 4, Forty-Niners got hosed because they have to go on the road in the Playoffs? I'm stunned.

We're all D3 fans here retagent. When you're used to seeing the ECFC or NEFC or UMAC champions get in over a runner-up from one of the power conferences, the NFL playoff process doesn't seem quite so weird.

I think I might go ice fishing today.  I'll drink beer.  Maybe I'll curse St Thomas too.  Sure hope the fish are biting.  :) ;)

I am just pointing out that inequities happen in all sports where there are playoff structures that are put into place without regard to certain factors. There will be anomolies such as this, and, as has been done in the past by teams we know well (ahem), they can be overcome.

Got to win your division. Sometimes records can be a little bit of inflated and one division could be stronger than the other. That's why I am in favor of Division champs getting a home game. However, I understand completely why you think the Niners should have a home game.

The NFC North may be the weakest division in football.

NFC East imo

I just got a "the wiac is so good because the schools are so large" comment at my New Years party. I just drank my drink and shut my mouth.

Sure, you invited Bluenote and retagent, but not us.  Thanks a lot.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

con grats to Whitewater. Don't know one from the next in their league. Maybe someone wi;\ll sponser someone whoe will beat them? . Any of them could win but so could NWC , MAIC.....and Iowa conference... the reason I don't like WIAC is because they are state sponsered and a socialist commie type thing. so I'm sure all you right wing morons wouldn't like that??? Who is wearing the Duck crap???? That old guy is a moron. he needs to streych some,..... and may be come more caring about all people....

Do a little drinking last night?

If a WIAC poster wrote this, retagent would have a field day with this.
He wouldn't be the only one.  We, WIAC posters, are fully capable of, "eating our own," so to speak, if one of us posted this kind of dribble.   Geeze............  ::)

Note to self:  Never drink and post!  8-)
Took this to heart and that is why I have not been posting.  Too busy still celebrating the Stagg Bowl victory!!!!   ;D ;D ;D  Happy New Year!

Did you know that St John's defeated Towson State in the 1976 D III Championship?

I do.  That was my junior year.  Field goal by my buddy Jeff Norman as the clock winds down to 00:00 for the win.  :) ;D :) ;D

I think Towson was going D2 the next year so they were stocking up with D2 level players.
