I am doing some research on who each WIAC team returns and who they lost from last year. I ran into this oddity. I think it qualifies as a "Bet ya didn't know":

UW-LaCrosse threw 28 passes per game last year.  Their leading receiver (Both in terms of receptions and yards) averaged 1.8 catches per game and gained 24.67% of his yards on ONE PLAY.

Platteville announces a $4 million upgrade to the locker rooms and Pioneer Stadium.  Included will be a memorial to the late George Chryst the former FB coach and AD at Platteville.

Wow, the days of old where UW-LC blew their opponents up with a dangerous passing game seem to be gone, for now, anyway and yes, I did not know that.   ;)

Crazy weather out there this morning in Wisconsin. I heard on the news that two light poles snapped in half in UWP's football stadium, and their classes were cancelled.

Just another reason not to mess with Mother Nature here are some picutures from P-ville's website you can see the damage to Pioneer Stadium on one of them.  Twisted bleachers and moved concrete.

Wow...must have been some dangerous winds to move concrete like that. Was there actually a confirmed tornado there?

badgerwarhawk

Yes, a tornado with winds up to 120 mph hit Platteville.  There were also several others confirmed in the state.  One with winds up to 160 mph struck Verona.  Others confirmed included two in Green County and another northwest of Madison.

I always felt UWP's away locker room was the worst in the WIAC. Only half the team could get dressed at a time it was so unbelievably small.

I am not sure that this was ever posted, but for us UWW fans, it will bring back some great memories of 2013.

Enjoy!   Looking forward to getting back to the Perk a couple times this season.  Have to go to Sun Prairie on Friday nights as  old #65 will be helping there this season as he does his student teaching down the road at Marshall WI.

Thanks Master. Now I can watch the game via DVR, DVD and YouTube.
I've almost got every play memorized.
