Louisville's camo uniforms for their game with Florida State.  This is just flat out ugly.

It's also illegal. NCAA rules require a jersey number on the front of the jersey. That pic might be a fake.

Great win for the Falcons on Friday....which kind of salvaged a very rough week for the WIAC.

I really wanted UWP to put up a better fight against NCC (I thought they would actually win). UWP was supposed to be strong on defense with 9 starters returning, but they gave up 7.6 yards per carry on the ground against a NCC team that was suppose to be rebuilding. However, I should know by now NCC doesn't rebuild, it just reloads.....much like most of the top tier teams around DIII.

I too was hoping for a better result against NCC.  Although I didn't make the trip to Naperville I understand turnovers led to 14 points for NCC and they also turned the ball over in the redzone something they did last year.  Given the WIAC's record against non-conference foes it looks like only one WIAC team will make the play-offs.

Too early to tell...we'll see how the WIAC season plays out.

God forbid this were to happen (even to get another WIAC team in) but if say UWW were to lose to UWP and that was their only loss I can see both teams getting in. Otherwise, if UWW sweeps, I can't see it.

Right.
Plus we really don't know who or what UWO is at this point.  We don't have good points of comparison given their first three opponents.
I think it's at least feasible that their tough non-conf schedule will help them a great deal come WIAC time.

The other wildcard is that none of UW-O's losses came against D-III schools. Even if they lose to UW-W, a one loss WIAC team, with the only loss coming to UW-W, might look pretty good come playoff time. On the other hand, criteria or not, the reality is that they would be 6-4. Man, UW-O's season could really test the Selection Committee's commitment to the criteria this year.

There would have to be some really weak pool C teams for UWO to be considered under these circumstances. I don't see it happening.

My high school, Tomah, has a rivalry with Sparta.  It's one of the oldest rivalries in the state and beating the other is all that you live for as a high school athlete.  My junior year we met in Tomah and the night before some people from Sparta came over and burned a large S in the middle of our field.  My senior year when we played in Sparta someone returned the favor by removing sod in the shape of a large T from the middle of their field.  To my knowledge no one ever claimed credit for either act.

Thanks so much 17! I appreciate that a lot. It is like two separate projects.  Researching and presenting the content is one.  Learning on the job as to how to build a website, create and post videos and podcasts, etc. is another altogether.  It really has been a ton of hours but I'm learning a lot. Over time, I expect it to get better and better. Thanks again for the encouragement. Go Hawks!

What did you do with the sod? ;D

I might be down but not out.  After relinquishing MY warhawkfootball.com Website earlier this summer (which is NOW being run extremely effectively by Jay Perkins aka bleedpurple, it didn't me long to realize just how much I miss writing!!

I will be launching my new blog "Voice's Battle vs. Cancer through Family, Friends and Football" late this afternoon. More info to come...
