Interesting story about Stout's Jenny- I now have another player to watch- thanks for letting us know Bleed.
All eyes on UWSP and UWO to see if they are upper tier WIAC or middle of the pack.

I was disappointed in UWL's performance at UWW. While I did not expect to win, I thought this Senior-dominated Eagle team would show some evidence of closing the gap on the Warhawks, and no such evidence appeared. Both lines were outclassed, and I am especially distressed by the lack of physicality on the D-line. 99 yard drives tell a story. Today, La Crosse hosts Oshkosh which will be starting a Freshman QB, according to the La Crosse Tribune. The Eagles have faced very strong competition thus far and need a win. I predict they will get a 21-14 victory over a young Titan squad.

You almost got this one Brian.  Good effort by the Eagles.

Jenny didn't play in the second half...he may have been injured, like WW's Patterson. Only caught 3 for 24. WW kept him in check.

Stout coach Clayt Birmingham in Eau Claire Leader game story of UWW's shutout at Stout yesterday...
"(Kumerow) is unbelievable and he's every bit an NFL receiver," Birmingham said. "You're going to see him playing on Sundays some day."

Don't know if anyone noticed but in the Top 25 Wrap-up on the main page Pat had a nice post-game interview with Grayvold.

Is that confirmed about Patterson?

While the Warhawks looked good overall they looked sluggish at the beginning of the game and in the red zone and I left the game thinking we missed several opportunities to score.  Don't get me wrong, 37-0 is a great win, but was there something I missed on the Stout defense?  It was a little surprising that we didn't put a TD on the board in the second half.  Defense played great and the line pressured Stouts QB well.  the linebackers also did a good job and made me feel a lot better about any questions I may have had earlier in the year.

We were speculating, IF he was injured since he had only 3 carries and we believed they all came in the first quarter.  We don't really know he was injured, nothing confirming that.

I know that your standards have been high for the past 9 years, but sometimes I think you guys would bitch if your ice cream was cold.

NewHawk, yes you missed that Stout has been exceptional on 3rd down defense, leading the conference, only allowing 6 first downs in 24 attempts.  Coach even made that comment after the game.  Defense overall is toward the bottom of the league standings, but sometimes that is a result of who they've played so far this early in the conference season. Warhawks rushed for 195 net yards, 100 less than the week before so maybe that's why they seemed a bit sluggish. They won't rush for 300 yards every week. But Stout's defense lived up to their name more than their season stats. Warhawk drives did screech to a halt in the second half, but it was nice to see Will Meyer get some kinks out and make a few FG's.

What exactly does "narrow" 37-0 win mean? Sorry we didn't run up the score to fit your liking!!

I am originally from the south and after sitting through a couple of years worth of Wisconsin football seasons, keep your ice cream. I don't want anything cold...I'll go with the hot chocolate

Emma17: Thanks for the kind words, but that is one you have to win. A very frustrating loss for La Crosse.
