"Pick Your Poison" article on UW-W's stellar cornerbacks now posted!

Although a website designer is now looking at the site, we are still having to scroll down to GAME CENTRAL for all new material. Hopefully, fixed soon!

With Veterans Day to be observed tomorrow I'd like to remember back to the mid-1990s an the story of  the 1998 WIAC Player of the Year.

UW-Whitewater football great, Derrick LeVake was a "Man among Boys" as a UWW offensive tackle in the mid-90s. He arrived on campus as a decorated US Army Ranger. Prior to his Warhawk football career he spent four years trained in covert operations that used deadly force. As member of the U9.S. Army's elite Rangers, by jumping out of airplanes during Operation Desert Storm and chasing retreating Iraqis back to Baghdad.  Thanks for your military service and your hall of fame career at UWW!

Catch Voice's article on Derrick, posted now on warhawkfootball.com.  Due to temporary technical difficulties, you must scroll down to "Game Central" to see the link to the story.  Still quick and easy to find if you scroll to almost the bottom of the page.

Great article by Voice!   Bleedpurple, I also really enjoyed your Trending Up and Trending Down feature and encourage all UWW fans to take time to read it and offer their thoughts here on the WIAC Board.

WHD
In addition to the great articles I love game photos. Probably some of the best actions shots around with a variety of shots that highlight the defense.

This has probably been noted by someone else but this season UWW has 15 players with at least 1 sack and 7 with more than 1.

Nice! Hope he plays well. Love seeing D3 alumni making waves in the NFL

FYI

Former UWW quarterback Matt Blanchard is back with Carolina Panthers after suffering a serious concussion in an August exhibition game at New England that left him with headaches and vision problems.

You're a Great Fan NewHawk.  I'd love to make the trip, but not in the cards this weekend.
Don't be afraid to get a U Dub Dub chant going so we can hear you on the audio.

Btw, no video this weekend?

One bus trip to River Falls was enough for me.  I'll listen as long as I'm able but the WARHAWKS women's bball team plays at two and I'll be manning the game clock so I won't be able to listen long.  Fortunately they'll be people at the game that will be so I should be able to keep up.

So let's see if I have this right BoBo. If an opposing team/player does well against UWW, it's because UWW was deficient. When  UWW as a team does well against an opponent, it has nothing to do with the deficiencies of the opponent, but everything to do with UWW abilities. Do I have it now?

NO, you don't have it.

Your interpretation is way off.

However, everyone has a right to be stupid...but, you're abusing the privilege.

I bet when you look in a mirror it's like a vampire, bobo - no self reflection.

I love checking in here from time to time.

Just got home from a brief, but incredibly successful business trip to Shanghai to see that the GREAT and POWERFUL Oz from the East Dakota board finds it necessary to stick his nose into a mini-brouhaha between Bobo and that vigilante of the WIAC board, our good friend, retagent.  Well, nice to see that you are obsessed by me.  Kudos to you for being a world-class 愚蠢的. Gonna grab some popcorn, a brew, and sit back and wait for you to expand on your incredibly intriguing commentary. BTW, we vampires gladly feast on those who would try to subdue us.

bleed, congrats on getting the site out of the emergency room...you know how we need our daily Warhawk news!!

The new articles are very lucid, intelligent and show well thought out positions, just like we've come to expect. However, I disagree with your prediction on the Platteville/Oshkosh game. I think the Titans win this one and a playoff berth, to boot.  Although Platteville has the skill players, this is going to be a smash mouth game and I think Oshkosh will thrive in that kind of environment...Platteville falls short. BTW, who takes the game photo's on the site? They are really good!!

Excellent set up on the site, Bleed.  It looks great and navigating it is much simpler.

The score suggests Eau Claire was competitive in their 20-10 loss to River Falls and must have been competitive in their 20-17 win against Stout.  ;)

I appreciate it, BW, thanks!

Regarding Eau Claire, I believe you are referring to: "Other than the win against Stout and a 10 point loss at River Falls, UW-EC has not been competitive in any WIAC game this year,"? I think we are saying the same thing, no?

Bobo, thanks for your kind words too. As far as the Platteville/Oshkosh game, if it were in Oshkosh, I'd be really tempted to run up there (I live as close to UW-O as I do UW-W).  Should be a great game.  I've been wrong before, just ask my wife.  ;)

PS- Congratulations on drawing a vampire reference from a MIACer within just a couple of months of being back on the boards. Impressive that you haven't shown any rust at all in your comeback!  :D
