I wonder if more DIII fans are watching this press conference more than DI (buffalo) fans.

Probably, and I so wish I could watch, being in a call center on the phones all day sucks in situations like these.  :-\

Staff question..................he's still making that decision.

that's the next big question UWW will have to worry about, who is he taking with him

WarhawkDad

No info today on who LL might take with him.

We know...but many of us consider the concern of him taking coaches with him. Which is a strong possibility.

Lance, as always, a real class act.   People think just because UWW is D3 that football somehow is different.   The reality is that the players are bigger and faster.  Coaches still coach quality football.  I wish him nothing but the best....but first, lets play 3 more games.

You have to believe the preparation for Wartburg is totally disrupted.  I think Saturday will be impacted, possibly in a substantial way.  We will see if the seniors can generate the leadership to fill in.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Like Voice posted earlier, they had a team meeting this morning. They probably discussed what we just found out a minute ago. However, after that it was practice as normal.

Lance is coming back tomorrow to get ready for Saturday's game.

I'm confident the coordinators at UWW will get the team ready for the game when Lance is away.

Agreed, the coordinators and assistants handle 90% of the practices anyway.   There will be an impact, but it could be positive, as in lets finish this and win this 6th championship for the Coach.   I believe the senior leadership is already there.

I'm confident as well and I know that we have seniors that can lead.  Hopefully the team uses this as motivation to send Lance out with another national championship.  I'd like to think our guys have to maturity to handle this in a positive way.

Lance is pure class and one of the best FB coaches in the country at any level.  This situation is not terribly different from last season at NDSU when Craig Bohl was selected to be the new coach at Wyoming in the middle of their playoff run....that turned out ok for them with another title.

I wish I was thrilled that Lance was coming to Missoula to be the new coach at Montana, but we were too slow (and still playing) to get him here.  I do know he had a great deal of interest and the Griz would have been dominant at the FCS level with him.

This is like everything else in life. It's not about what happens, it's how you react to it. We have great assistant coaches, our players have focus and character. They won't let anything stand in the way of their goals. I'm guessing winning the last three games will be huge to LL. He won't want to feel like this distraction kept the Hawks, especially the seniors, from reaching their goals.  Is it a distraction? For sure.
Is it an excuse to lose focus? Absolutely not. We will be fine.

Here's what happens. He becomes part of the senior class. The team will be driven to send them ALL out as champions!
