A while back I asked bleed who the photographer(s) is/are for warhawkfootball.com now, but I never got a reply. If it's a secret that shall remain a secret, so be it. But Newhawk is right, you have some of the finest football action photo's I have seen in a long time - the detail is just awesome.

EDIT: I read your reply to NewHawk after I posted this, so I know the answer. Please tell Mr. Gehant that he has a great eye for the dramatic and obviously, a very nice camera, and we really enjoy his work!

But, this husker needs a little help:

A Nebraska football player is recovering after being attacked by an apparently camera-shy raccoon.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Husker defensive end Jack Gangwish spotted the animal on the side of the road Wednesday night as he was driving north of Lincoln and decided to take a picture of himself with the raccoon using his cellphone.

When he approached the animal, it attacked, biting the 21-year-old Gangwish on the calf.  Gangwish killed the animal with a crescent wrench he grabbed from his truck. 
Authorities are testing the raccoon for rabies.

Apparently, you would think he'd know better after getting his a$$ kicked by Badgers and Gophers.

My sister did something similar when she was 10 yrs. old, only with a skunk. She didn't get bit,but got sprayed. She thought it was cute, dad yelled & mom wouldn't let her in the house

With the soon-to-happen Lance Leipold departure to Buffalo, what has been on the player's minds leading up to today's D3 quarterfinal game vs. Wartburg?
The Wisconsin State Journal has a feature story on senior wide receiver/return man Justin Howard.  He talks about the need for special senior leadership going forward.

With Leipold announcing on Monday that he will be leaving UW-Whitewater for the University of Buffalo following this postseason — with four staff members departing with him — it has been a difficult week for the team to focus on the task at hand.

The seniors called a players-only meeting early in the week to emphasize that the younger players have their support and how important it is that they send Leipold, and the upperclassmen, out the right way.

"The emotions in our locker room haven't changed," Howard said. "We had a players' meeting, each senior had something to say about what was going on, and we just wanted to let the younger guys know that we're here for them."

"It's an amazing feeling to have the year that we're having right now," Howard said. "We continue to get better every week. It's an awesome feeling to be here, working every day to finish this thing out right."

"We just have to stick together and keep this thing rolling."
