$600k/year says that he'd probably figure something out.  But it's a moot point because that's not really how college coaching works.  Contracts aren't really contracts and coaches can pretty much come and go as they please.

Go tell Johnny Chavis that contracts aren't really contracts.  He's filed a law suit against both LSU (his old team) and Texas A&M (his new team) over the payment of $400,000 LSU says he is required to pay to resign from LSU and move to ATM.  ATM and Chavis have disagreed over who should have to pay the $400,000. He's asking the court to decide both whether the money is owed to LSU and if ATM would be responsible for paying it. Contracts are contracts and they do matter, even in coaching.

Not really the same thing that we were talking about. This is litigation over money, not whether or not Chavis has to stay and work for LSU because he is/was contracted to do so.  Parties can, and clearly will, quibble over the dollars when coaches change jobs, but preventing coaches from changing jobs isn't something that happens.

Nice story on UWO QB Brett Kasper....  Not surprised to see these types of things happening with players from a Pat Cerroni lead team.

What a cool story. Brett sounds like an awesome young man.

Been out of town for a bit, and have some catching up to do. I like the rumors that UWO and UWP's coordinator's will be joining the Hawks at KB's side. I just hope the UWO coordinator doesn't push for a spread-option style of offense in Whitewater. But I have a feeling Bullis wouldn't of even considered hiring a person who has plans to change what's already working. I would be ok with adding some spread-option type plays to the playbook...but definitely not have our offense centered around it.

Very good acquisitions is this turns out to be the case (as if UWW needed more reasons for the rest of the WIAC to hate us).

Lots of posts and lots of opinions on this board. Now, it's time to see who was right and who was wrong.  Who enjoyed the ride? See the cheers, the jeers, and the fears of UW-W fans (and some selected posts of opposing fans) as posted in "Post Patterns" during the 2014 season.  One week at a time.

bleed, you must be a glutton for punishment having to go back and review posts every week to do these game stories reviews.

Did I miss something?  Since when has the rest of the WIAC hated UWW?

I found other things to occupy my time in Australia.  ;)

Ok, hate is a strong word...maybe despises.

UWW has a chance to play Mount Union...in hoops...it won't be in Salem, but that would still be fun!!

Funny how we don't hear much from RoyalPurple or PurpleSuit after some of these Stagg Bowls.

Word is UW-Whitewater's 2015 schedule is close to be finalized. Still waiting for the contract to be signed where I believe the Warhawks will open the season in Sioux City, IA vs 2014 NAIA national semifinalist Morningside College

Bummer. I wanted to see Wesley-UWW to open the season. It's a shame with D3 budgeting and factors similar to that keep marquee matchups from happening.
