Lots of posts and lots of opinions on this board. Now, it's time to see who was right and who was wrong.  Who enjoyed the ride? See the cheers, the jeers, and the fears of UW-W fans (and some selected posts of opposing fans) as posted in "Post Patterns" during the 2014 season.  One week at a time.

Did you happen to save any posts written during the Wartburg game that are nowhere to be found???

The ones where "Warhawk Nation" simultaneously hit the eject button?

Best of luck to them.

Does anyone have information about Thurgood Dennis?

Nooooo. Are guys going in and deleting their posts??  That will definitely make my journey less fun and the feature less interesting if they do. Oh well, I'll get what I can. Was hoping featur would draw more fans to the boards through WFDC Twitter account, but I guess that would be mostly UWW fans.

I was up in Whitewater last week and stopped by the football office KB was hard at work and I finally got a good look at the Kumerow manikin they have in the lobby next to the new players locker mock up.  Once the fund raising is over the locker room will definitely be on par with much larger schools, and its a cool display...of course it was slightly overshadowed by the 6 National Championship trophies nearby.

Matt Behrendt and Jake Kumerow from UWW expected at UW Badgers Pro Day on March 11 at the McClain Center in Madison. Thurgood Dennis from UWEC, also on the list with 8 present or former Badgers players. Don't know the starting time, but not open to the public anyway.

You'll probably find some gems in the In-Game Updates threads during the game. I know myself and Bobo just about threw in the towel late in the UWRF game. Emma however, talked us back down from the ledge that afternoon.

A curious stat.
For some reason I checked out the Box Score of the Stagg Bowl. Take a look at the totals for tackles:
Mt. Union:  50 Solo, 40 Assists, 90 Total.
UWW:        51 Solo, 6   Assists, 57 Total.
Incompletions play a big role in the ratio of total tackles : # of plays, but the Assists numbers are what really surprised me.

Something seems amiss to me, but I would have to watch the game with this in mind.  The assists for UW-W seem absurdly low. Without re-looking at the game, assuming this is true, the combination of factors I can think of include:

1. Lots of man to man coverage (Grayvold and McLin were leading tacklers).
2. Lots of sideline passes that defensive backs pushed the receiver out of bounds.
3. A lot of outside runs where, again, the defender pushed runner out of bounds.
4. Exceptional tackling by UW-W, where first tackler made the tackle before help arrived.
5. Mount had some decent kickoff returns, I think. Maybe after returner broke first wave, he hit the sideline?
6. Lake Bachar!  ;)

One other thought. 90 tackles. That's a lot of work!  I am reminded something Jordy Nelson said awhile ago. He was asked about his proclivity to staying in bounds rather than step out to avoid the hit.  He said something to the effect that he wants to make the defenders tackle him. He feels that can add up by the fourth quarter.  Along with the number of plays and superior depth, I believe part of UW-W's "wear down" affect on opponents has to do with they type of plays they run. "You will have to tackle us for four quarters."

7.  We had 88 plays (rushing, passing, kickoff, punt, interception) on which a tackle could be made.  Mount Union had 65.
