I'm willing to bet UWW football team has one of the least accommodating locker rooms in the conference. Seems like everything else in the football program was upgraded over the years, except for the locker rooms. This is long over due.
Amen to that!  Maybe we can get some of our private school friends to donate.....  :o :o :o      8-)

They already do. At least those that are Wisconsin residents.
Funny, I never thought of paying taxes as a donation.     Donations are something to be done willingly   8-)

I've got a hunch that it would be difficult to beat the BADGERS men's basketball team and Bo Ryan but it's nice to be nominated and we managed to do something that has never been done.

According to @ThrowItDeep, former UW-Whitewater quarterback @Matt_Blanchard_ is signing with the Green Bay Packers!

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting it too.

They are giving Blanchard credit for a 15-0 season when he backed up Donovan, sigh .....
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

OFFICIAL RELEASE:

PACKERS SIGN QB BLANCHARD

The Green Bay Packers have signed QB Matt Blanchard. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Blanchard, a 6-foot-3, 223-pound second-year player out of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, was originally signed by the Chicago Bears as a non-drafted rookie free agent on May 14, 2012. He was waived by Chicago toward the end of the preseason but was re-signed to the practice squad, where he spent the first 12 games of the season. Blanchard re-signed with Chicago after the 2012 season, but was waived/injury settlement on Aug. 27, 2013. He was signed to the Carolina Panthers' practice squad on Oct. 29, 2013, where he spent the remainder of the season. Blanchard re-signed with the Panthers on Jan. 14, 2014, and was placed on injured reserve on Aug. 26, 2014.

Congratulations to Matt!  Flynn is not returning, so this is a great opportunity for Matt.

WARHAWKS VS BADGERS:
Obviously, there still is the draft to add competition, but for now, his competition for the #2 job is former Badger Scott Tolzien.  Matt is a better athlete, but Tolzien has improved greatly through Coach McCarthy's QB School and being in the system for a couple of years.  This will be really interesting.

Just Bill

They just gave Tolzein a new contract to be the #2. There's no competition there. Blanchard's competition is to beat whoever they may draft or sign as a free agent to be the #3.

Wow. I didnt know that in the.NFL world back ups had locks on their position. Especially one who has done as little as Scott. Congrats to him. It's certainly a nice spot to be in as a number 2 to know you can play horribly and the #3 guy can't pass you. I wonder how they informed Matt of this limitation: "as you know we have Scott Tolzein, so obviously you have no chance to win the number 2 job."

Just returned from my final four extravaganza trip following the Badgers in Omaha, LA, and Indy with my brother in law and 2 nephews and spending some time with my sisters in Texas. What an amazing journey...and I have to tell you that if you've never watched a basketball game in a domed football stadium, it's truly one of the more strange and unbelievable experience you could ever have at a sporting event. Seeing all those seats surrounding a tiny, raised basketball floor is mind-blowing.

I was going to say I hope no one stuck their foot in their mouth while I was gone, but it appears Just Bill Just Performed that maneuver Just In Time of my return. The only thing I've heard a backup is guaranteed is the first ticket out of town if they don't perform during camp. Being guaranteed a roster position as a #2 QB without competing for it is absurd. I think the only thing known for sure is that the Pack is not going to draft/sign Marcus Mariotta.  Let's see if McCarthy can work some magic with Matt in QB School. This might be MB's final opportunity (third time the charm?)...hope he can remain healthy to give it a complete effort.

When Blanchard beats out Tolzein then you can all feel free to jump all over me. You guys are good at ganging up. Until then we'll just have to wait.

How dare you speak such blasphemy, Just Bill...  ;)  Ruffling feathers in the off season. I love it.

If you guys were completely honest with yourself you'd know Just Bill is right. It would take a miracle for Tolzein to be supplanted in the #2 spot. Though I love Blanchard as much as the next person, he's going to be fighting for the third string spot which unless Tolzein plays like crap they might not even keep a third QB on the roster. Honestly I think Blanchard at most is fighting for another practice squad stint. Would love to be proved wrong though.

He might be right. I just find it odd for a guy who has never been a firm #2 to not be subject to any competition. I'm more fascinated with how quickly JB assumed the victim role. By "you guys"
He must be talking about BoBo and I. So any time we happen to agree with each other, we should not both chime in? It's a subject I brought up. Just Bill weighed in but doesn't want people who hold a different view to counter because it is "ganging up? Absurd.
