With the signing of Brett Hundley Blanchard is now pretty much just a camp arm with a chance to win a practice squad berth. They've invested 2 years now with Tolzein and Hundley they want to build for the future. Unless Blanchard plays perfect football and makes no mistakes he's not going to make the roster. Would love it if he did but it's not going to happen guys, don't get your hopes up or hold your breath for it.

I've often wondered what makes a guy like you tick.  What purpose does this post serve other than to come off as a guy w a grudge. Do you really feel you're performing some sort of public service as though us Matt Blanchard fans are likely to end up in severe depression or commit bodily harm if Matt doesn't make the team?
Do you think we Blanchard fans are ignorant to the task at hand?
Why not just be as positive as you can be- does that go against the grain of your personality?
I have Great Hope that Matt will defy the odds and end up with a roster spot.
Shock the world Matt.
And Jake.

I'm generally a positive person, but I'm also realistic. Jake definitely has a chance to make the team, Blanchard unfortunately does not. If a miracle does happen and he makes the team that would be awesome but I'm expecting practice squad. But since you did go there if you think he has any shot outside of a miracle of getting on the team and not just the practice squad then you are as you described "ignorant of the task at hand". I like you emma, I usually agree with you but if you objectively look at the situation you know it'll take a miracle for it to happen. Packers are fully invested in Hundley and Tolzein and there won't be a fourth QB on the roster.

In other news Behrendt gets a tryout with the Vikings.

Pat Coleman

Blanchard is also a guy with a small amount of experience to have around in case someone gets hurt, as well.

I know it's a long shot - but I'm just not ready to move the odds up to miracle though :)
And even if it requires a miracle - well that would be an even better story.

As an aside- it's a bit of a conundrum for me as Tolzein is from our neighborhood and played at Fremd- the same HS my kids attend(ed) as well as ol #65.
I'm going to have to hope Hundley gets a better offer somewhere else after camp.

Matt has his work cut out for him.  But he's a competitor and I know he'll work his ass off.  I don't see the PACKERS keeping four QBs connected to the team.

Here's some melodramatic words I cobbled together.  Let me put them in your mouth in the least flattering way possible.

Also, please let me assume that you think everyone is stupid, small and unworthy.  These petty assumptions I make about you really put you in a bad light, MJ.

Just in case it wasn't clear, let me make this personal and highlight I'm better than you.

And you wonder, emma, why this board gets such bad feedback.

Um, he will be under contract. Unless he gets cut or traded you and the rest of the "Blanchard fans" will have to deal with Hundley being a Packer.

As Marcel Marceau would say about the Packer backup QB spots:

The PACKERS are bringing Alabama QB Blake Sims in for a tryout.  My only reason for mentioning it is that judging by the comments the past few days we seem interested in the team's QB situation.  It's just a tryout so cut me some slack, emma.  ;) ;D

Um, I think I get it. It was my way of hoping good things for the guy- but just not w the Packers.

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Wait a minute, you're using reason and careful observation to construct a well-thought-out, non-reactionary argument.
