I learned several years ago that while you might think your karma is getting whacked by a particular individual....it might not be.  Maybe it is someone or several someones that are getting tired of one to one drama on the boards.   I am not whacking karma, but this act between you and Bobo (mutually) is getting old.   Time to move on to other issues, without the interpersonal stuff.

I'm honestly surprised that UWW is rated number 1. I would have put them at 2a or 2b and Mount at 2a or 2b. Wesley I'm never scared of, but I'd have put Linfield at #1. Sam Riddle was great last year and now will have a much better Sophmore season after getting battle tested and I don't think they lose much. UWW and Mount both have questions. UWW losing the top of its coaching staff and QB and Kumerow. Mount losing Burke, which is huge considering he's the one that won them so many games they could have lost without him.

Either way should be a great year of D3 football!

Interesting take on this Master. Like you, I think Linfield is probably the front runner, and I might put Mt at 2.  Although Mt loses a great one in Burke, they have so much talent all around the field that I think they will again win most games handily.  I need to read Kickoff in order to get a feel for who has what coming back.  If Wartburg returns many of their players (I'm pretty sure the QB is coming back), they may get a bump IMO. 
As for the Dub, I'm fine with them at any ranking, or even unranked, to start the season. It's a clean slate for the Hawks, time to make a new name for themselves.

Wrong. Until someone steps up and beats the champs, they are #1 in my book. I think the 25 voters looked at it the same, correct way. Linfield at #2 would make sense, but you can't take a blind eye to history.  Eventhough Mount loses top quality in Burke, they'll have someone else to slide in there pretty much seamlessly.  They always have and probably always will. So going with Linfield based upon the sophomore (ever hear of the sophomore jinx or sophomore slump?) potential of one guy who had a pretty good season last year is giving them a benefit that you aren't willing to give to the other two teams to simply reload from their already well prepared arsenal of weapons. Anyway, it's only a meaningless pre-season poll that really has no bearing on anything except allows certain teams fan bases to have their customary late summer hopes for the season.

I know for a fact that BoBo always dings my karma, or I wouldn't have called him out on it; I have repeatedly witnessed him do it... He does it nearly every time he logs in, after the 24-hour period has elapsed... But he, and some of you others, have fallen for the bait again... 

But it's funny, UWW fans don't get upset when the Hawks players play the football game out until the final whistle blows, even if the score is 35-0...

But when a UWW poster, BoBo, is getting his arse whipped in an off-the-field intellectual challenge (which he started and brought me into, and has yet to finish {despite me reminding him thereof that he is merely woofing and not backing up his bite}), I'll gladly continue to call his bluff until he delivers. I play until the whistle blows, and don't really care what the UWW posters think... Sorry, fellas, but BoBo has to - but won't - throw in the towel on this one, since he started it and can't finish it...

So, BoBo, back to D3 football = you find out about the UWL QB stat update yet, or what?

I have a very hard time arguing with the D3football.com top 6 teams (and right now I have no idea about the teams below that).   The team I think might prove to bust into the top 6 when all is said and done is the Johnnies.  As far as number one, when a school has won 32 straight games and back to back championships, it's hard to ague against making them number 1. From a fan's perspective, he/she can always hope (worry) that the coaching staff changes bring UW-W down a notch. But as far as those actually voting, I think it's difficult to rank someone else number one until something different than we've seen lately happens on the field.

I agree with Emma. It's a clean slate for the Hawks.  But then again, I've felt that way every single year. In D-III, you either earn it or you don't get it.
