I have nothing but respect and admiration for what Coach Cerroni has accomplished at UWO!!!  He is one guy that I still pull for at UWO.
A good example of why I respect and "pull" for Coach Cerroni and his team.  Nice job Coach!!!

That is awesome.  I encourage all you young bucks to look up Be the Match and get registered.  The don't really want those of us over 45.  This saves lives.

A Giant Well Done for UWO football- thanks for making a difference.

So UWEC turned down Lance, and Hiram turned down Larry.

Who was advising these schools - Harry Frazee???

Gregory Sager

Nice. Makes you wonder if UWEC or Hiram has ever put on a production of No, No Nanette.

"I'm sorry I don't have a cancer story for ya..."-Coach Cerroni.  lol  ;)

Great cause for them to support. And I agree, there's no reason for a young person NOT to get registered. If I understand it correctly, it is just a cheek swab to get registered. If you don't match up with anyone, no harm done. But if you do, you have a chance to help save a life. Seems like a no-brainer to me!

We can only imagine what would have happened had Todd Glaser turned down, or had not gotten, the UWEC job in 2006, and one of the other Blugold coaching finalists had been offered the job instead.
That being? Lance Leipold...

Very interesting, I don't recall hearing that story.
So where would UWEC have been seeded in the brackets today if LL got the job?   :D

Probably right where they are. Even LL probably couldn't have a decade-long effect after working at a place for just a year!  ;)

2006
UWW: 14-1 WIAC champs and Stagg Bowl runner up
UWEC: 3-7

Given where the programs were at in 2006, it's kind of silly to assume Lance would have achieved the same (or even similar) success at UWEC.

Accuweather projects the snow to stop at noon (the last flake falls as the opening kickoff occurs).
I'm looking forward to this game- I think the players like this kind of stuff.

Here's the story from Kasper's point of view:

Yeah, in what would have been his second year there, LL probably wouldn't have guided the UWEC 2007 team to its 9-3 overall/5-2 conference record and a second-round playoff loss to Bethel that year... He probably would have scrapped everything already in place and started from scratch, thereby probably taking him another three years for him to capitalize on, and see, the fruits of his first recruiting class...

And I'd hate to imagine what LL would have done with a UWEC program that had gone 40-20 and 28-14 in the six seasons before he would have coached his first year in 2006, that 3-7 team...

So what in the world really happened up there, Bulk? Was there a shift in administrative emphasis away from athletics? Was their full commitment from the university? I'm not looking for you to throw Coach Glaser under the bus. I'm just wondering if there were other factors going on up there that caused the foundation to crack. There almost always is something else happening when the downfall is this immediate, this deep, and for this duration.
