So.... Pick WW chances in the playoffs.
First game and the potentials you're looking at and not writing about.
I know, one game at a time.
Your fantasies?

This is usually Bleed's area to expound.
I was going to post Mr. T- but I still haven't learned how to post a picture.

Count me in as one liking UWW's chances in the playoffs.

Can I ask you the same about Linfield?

And I'd hate to imagine what LL would have done with a UWEC program that had gone 40-20 and 28-14 in the six seasons before he would have coached his first year in 2006, that 3-7 team...
So what in the world really happened up there, Bulk? Was there a shift in administrative emphasis away from athletics? Was their full commitment from the university? I'm not looking for you to throw Coach Glaser under the bus. I'm just wondering if there were other factors going on up there that caused the foundation to crack. There almost always is something else happening when the downfall is this immediate, this deep, and for this duration.

Same thing I was wondering.  Obviously there was talent around with the playoff run they made the following year.  Plus the loss to Bethel if I remember EC had to convert one of their good receivers to QB because the top 3 were injured.  I know Hoffner's recruiting before he left probably helped through the first few years but I'm just curious what happened the last 3.

This game has a chance to be in the snow. I know it's supposed to be ending around the time the game is starting, would love to see a snow game.

Thursday's UWW QB included OC coach Smith- he's a stand-up guy.
Great explanation of the reason for the progression of the offense.
He's an easy guy to root for.

OT, but could Coach Leipold be moving up faster than we had initially thought? Buffalo's AD just left for UCF, and they do not have a football coach.

Bummer of a deal for LL. It's really important at the D1 level to have the AD who hired you still be around to give you time to grow the program. As long he improves, may not be an issue. But it's always important to know you've got an AD who has your back.

When it comes to UW-W and the playoffs, no expounding or fantasies are necessary.

The only difference between this year and every other year UW-W has been in the playoffs since 2005 is who we play in the Stagg Bowl.

Truth.

Wheaton v Whitewater. This should be fun.

For the Warhawks, yes...but probably not so much for Wheaton. But, at the end of the day, it should be a good learning experience for the Thunder!!

Good morning, Gentlemen,
Hope you are all well.  We have just experienced the worst college football attendance record since before #33 went to UWW in 03. Several family health issues including a difficult loss and a new baby grandson, (weather,) has prevented us from going to all but the home opener for Carroll so far   :'(  Soooo, very excited for Saturday's game, being played at Wheaton, in the FIB's, "backyard."  Bet the Thunder has a kickass tailgate atmosphere!  Oh......wait.......    ;D ;) 8-)

Well, at least we have some playoff games at the Perk we can attend!

Crap, worst. tailgating. season.......... EVER............... >:( >:(

UW-L's Weber earns first-team All-WIAC honors

QuoteWeber, a safety, led the Eagles with 99 total tackles (59 solo), along with five tackles for loss and two interceptions. He was the only UW-L player, offense or defense, to receive first-team honors.

COLTEN BARTHOLOMEW: Eagles doomed by inconsistent play

QuoteWhile the record speaks for itself as below-average, what's most frustrating for UW-L supporters has to be the fact that the Eagles showed flashes of great play. They played the two best teams in the WIAC, Whitewater and Oshkosh, tight until the fourth quarter and had the offense and defense clicking in both games.

The disappointment came in games like Stevens Point and St. Thomas when it seemed like the Eagles couldn't get out of their own way.
