Good morning, Gentlemen,
Hope you are all well.  We have just experienced the worst college football attendance record since before #33 went to UWW in 03. Several family health issues including a difficult loss and a new baby grandson, (weather,) has prevented us from going to all but the home opener for Carroll so far   :'(  Soooo, very excited for Saturday's game, being played at Wheaton, in the FIB's, "backyard."  Bet the Thunder has a kickass tailgate atmosphere!  Oh......wait.......    ;D ;) 8-)

Well, at least we have some playoff games at the Perk we can attend!

Crap, worst. tailgating. season.......... EVER............... >:( >:(

Hello there 413.  I am sorry I didn't reply earlier, I simply was surprised and distracted by a couple CCIW posters that were so eager to start a border war.

I hope good health has returned to your family.  To be honest, I thought Carroll College had stolen you from us.
No problems, I was just being tongue-in-cheek when I found my post on the CCIW board.  And yes, Carroll did steal us away, got to follow the kid and now the grandkid.  ;D  At least until play-offs.  We fully intended to be at the game supporting Trey Bell but an emergency trip to Minnesota, (elderly father had a health crisis,) prevented it.  But this season got very complicated even to attend those games.  And to be honest, my absence from games did not allow me to post anything of merit regarding the 2015 season.  That and his being on a D-3 coaching staff means I have to mind my P's and Q's.    ;)

And thanks to you guys, 02 and BW.  Hoping to catch up this weekend in Wheaton?

On a side note, Morningside finished the regular season #1 in the NAIA with a 11-1 record.

Pat Coleman

That's actually 11-1 after a first-round playoff win. 75-69 in 4 OT.

Wow. I can only think of two scores near that high, and they both involve Hartwick (72-70 win in 4OT against Utica, and 70-68 loss to Brockport WITHOUT any overtimes!! - Hartwick-Brockport Box Score)

badgerwarhawk

The average round one score was 45.56 - 14.17 a differential of 31.39 points.

Leipold/Iowa State speculation....

http://footballscoop.com/news/why-lance-leipold-could-be-a-name-to-watch-at-iowa-state/

Not sure if ISU would pull the trigger. They have an amazing ability of getting in their own way. But I think he'd actually be a great hire for the Cyclones, especially given his Midwest roots. He'd be a great fit personality-wise in Iowa.

If I'm Leipold, not sure if this is the place I want to try my luck in the FBS though. Then again, with Kansas in totally suck mode and KSU seemingly a few years away from the end of the Syder era, maybe it's not the worst time to try to build a program at ISU. Still, I'd have to think long and hard about moving my family to Ames.  :-\

Well Technically the University of Buffalo is in the FBS, but not in the Power 5. Anyway, being from the Buffalo area, I do want them to do well so I hope Leipold stays there another year. They are just OK in the MAC this year but I'd like to see if he can make them better.

Good catch, Power 5 is what I was aiming for.

And for Buffalo, obviously keeping LL around would be ideal. But as I posted a few days back, the ground has shifted a bit under LL feet since the AD left for UCF. Always need to know the AD has your back and no AD has your back quite like the guy who hired you and hitched his reputation to your wagon.  :)
