For playoff games, that's a listing of tickets sold. I don't think there were 5,000 people there. (Although I do believe there were more than 2,052 in the building.)

Counting tickets must be hard.  The larger grandstand at Wheaton holds 4100 at this was about 85% full by the time the first half finished.  The Whitewater side was packed in addition (all those FIBS  ;)) and there were plenty of fans in the small grandstand on the Wheaton side also.   I'll revise my official estimate to 4495.

It's like election night with all the reports of predictions now coming in from all the precincts.

I'm sold on your estimate of fans.  It sure felt like there was an excellent turnout- and the Wheaton side sounded like a sell out for the first few series.

Hopefully you and Usee prove to be correct.

I am too superstitious to predict an outcome but I will say, if I meet a team for the second time during a season, I want to be the team who lost the first battle.   ;)

It's game day, Boys!!! 8-)

How did that philosophy work for Dubuqe and the Johnnies?

As well as St Thomas and the Johnnies...

LOL, well, it's hardly an exact science and, I admit, works better when the score was close in the first meeting and teams are considered pretty equal like these two are.   8-)

I'm with you on this, despite the anecdotal evidence to the contrary. Coming into the Johnnie game, there was a definite feel that St John's was going to come out tough and focused.

If you are UWO, you have to be happy where things stand at halftime....

Whitewater pretty much dominates the first 20:00+ of the first half, wins the turnover battle 2-0, and yet it's all tied up 10-10....

Whitewater gets the ball coming out of the break....

Missed PAT looms huge. UWW wins 31-29. Wind a big factor as only 1 TD scored by team going against the wind, and that was the one with the missed PAT.

See y'all on the hoops boards!

Oh hello again my Wisconsin friends.
Man I HATE you guys...(said with respect).

Emma I am sure you will have much to say that UWO is probably the 2nd best team in all of D-III.  I may just agree with you this year.  :-)

hazzben

I think those might be the best two teams in D3  :o ...we'll see in the next few weeks

We interrupt this program to announce the early demise of the Warhawks, a changing of the guard will be postponed to another year. Great game today. Oshkosh is a really quality team and being a young team will be heard from again. WW does just enough and hangs on for the win.
