Thanks, I needed that.

Thanks for the kind words Emma and BW. I appreciate it.  Your thoughts on the defense are along the exact same lines as Coach Erickson.  You will see his exact quote in an upcoming article.

In other news... 841 Brew House is a good time and all, but I'm not sure it's worth risking your freedom.  Maybe Montee thought there was a QB Club meeting!  :o

So are we tabling the discussion of putting Ball on the ring of honor at Camp Randall?

I saw on the OAC board that UWO will play JCU this season, first game I think.
This will be fun to watch as both are trying to become their conference big dogs.
UWO dispatched ONU pretty handily last year, and the Titans bring back a lot of talent.

Time out. I need a ruling here.  ;)
Are you thinking this is Emma's love affair w UWO or teasing about a WIAC/OAC love affair?
If the former, I have to come clean, my team crush for UWO is over. I know, I know. The point is, I felt they were under appreciated a few years ago and I also felt it would be good for the WIAC and for UWW to be pushed. We are there now, UWO is legit, they are no longer an up and comer, nice story team. They are a nemesis and must be dispatched.
They have ugly uniforms, their coach complains like a peasant, their all "on one side of the field" stadium sucks and the PA announcer is so obnoxiously loud I find myself unable to send positive karma messages to the UWW players and coaches. I don't like the read option, hate the radar defense and they lose games because they can't make extra points.

emma17 ... your brutal honesty deserves + karma.

emma,

http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/norridge/sports/ct-nhh-wisconsin-whitewater-football-wojtek-gasienica-tl-0411-20160414-story.html

UWW has a pretty big leg in #13 at kicker/punter.  But, with Bachar as a likely early round MLB draft choice as a pitcher in June and signing, 'hawks will probably need someone to take over those duties.

btw - Kohl's has him rated as #97 in the HS class of 2016.  Says this about him:

"Gasienica Recently attended the 2015 National Scholarship Camp, he did well in the FG pressure round of camp going 9 out of 9, he needs to continue to get stronger in order to move up in the rankings. Gasienica has attended multiple Kohl's events including the 2015 Spring Midwest Showcase. Has a really quick and athletic leg. He needs to get his leg healthy and clean up the rotation on his FG's. KO's were limited with his tightness in groin. One of the better KO guys in the Midwest when healthy. Wojciech attended the 2014 Midwest Showcase Camp in Chicago, IL, hits a good "A" ball, needs to refine his skills in order for "A" ball to show up more often, has some tools to become very effective, progress is necessary to reach potential, the ball jumps off his foot well, good leg speed, with improvement in ball rotation he should make good progress."

There are scholarship kickers signed to Kentucky and Navy just ahead of him and Kent State, North Texas, UMass, LSU and Iowa (just to name a few) just behind him in the rankings.

In comparison, Platteville has the #63 rated Kohl's kicker, Sam Herkert from Oshkosh North (how did he get away from the Titans is the big question), committed. Kohl's says this about him:

"Sam most recently attended the 2015 National Scholarship Camp, he showed that he has worked extremely hard on his repeatability since we last saw him, his KO's are slightly above his FG's at the moment but if he continues to work hard he will be someone to keep an eye on."

And they tweet like Donald Trump and have won the exact same number of Stagg Bowls as the Minnesota Vikings have won Super Bowls.  Hey, this is fun...
