I predict a 28-17 Eagle win over RF. On a humorous note, a friend of mine says the Falcons are coming to La Crosse on Oktoberfest weekend to get hammered. We shall see.

Glad your friend has enjoyed the non-conference games. Yes, we shall see.

UWW will have there hands full today...I feel that the game will be very close!

Nice win for UWW, on the road, vs Platteville 30-24.
Cole Wilber with 3 TD, Drew Patterson with 100 even running the rock, and Will Meyer with a perfect 3 for 3 on field goals to lead the charge for the Warhawks.  Defense held Platteville to -15 yards rushing with the aid of 6 sacks.

Still a lot of work to do.  Too many penalties particularly in the first half.  Too many big plays in general and particularly on third down.  But when it came down to crunch time the defense made some outstanding plays with a fumble recovery, huge QB loss and the interception to end it and retain possession of the pick ax.

A week to prepare for the Titans and arguably the best QB & running back combo in the league.  We've got to get some of these things figured out.

Watching Badgers and Michigan...and you heard it here first...

Mich FG kickers miss everything all game long then hit the game winner as time expires.  I hope not but it has that feel.

Box score on d3football has Stevens Point with a total of 8 first downs in their win over Eau Claire. EC with only 6. Doesn't seem possible, but if that's accurate, it must have been, one, extremely boring 28-19 game in favor of the Pointers. Can anyone closer to the situation confirm/deny?

Plus, my new favorite team, Morthland, "improves" to 3-2 by beating Maranatha Baptist. Seems the Oshkosh beatdown is paying immediate dividends for the Patriots and impressed the Baptists. So much so, that the rumor mill reports that Maranatha is in conversations with Oshkosh for a home/home series within the next two years.  Stay tuned for that one.

Seems EC had a little trouble with their stats yesterday. Kinda thought they'd have them fixed by now.

I haven't been there in 30 years, but that was always the reason for going.

Bobo: There are many good reasons to visit La Crosse, and you should come and take a look-see. Please bring some money.

Eagles built a 28-0 halftime lead and cruised to the victory.  Great to see after going to overtime with UWRF 4 of the last 5 seasons.

As SE points out, LC and RF have been very even the last few years, and it is nice to see the Eagles get the fairly easy win. This supports my belief that the new regime has the program heading in the right direction. The obvious difference is in the offense, which never got untracked under the previous leadership. I was, however, dismayed by the issues in the place kicking, which had been excellent in the first 3 games. Bring on the Warhawks.
