Nine WIAC student/athletes receive D3football.com Academic All American status.

I agree that they are all student-athletes, but just for the record, it's not an academic award. :)

I wasn't confused about that.

Maybe I'm missing the point, then, but you call it D3football.com Academic All-American and we don't have an award of that nature.

No I'm the one who missed the point.  Reviewing the article I linked I have absolutely no idea how I got the "Academic" thing in there.  I guess I expected to see an academic list at some point and just didn't look at it closely enough.

Meaningless but a potential defense of UWO QB Brett Kasper on the game ending interception.
I fully acknowledge I don't know UWO's receiver rules.  That said, it's possible that interception may not have been due to a poor decision by Kasper.  Looking at the 4th down and 10 play closely, it seems as though the slot receiver was making his cut to come across at the first down line.  He saw the UMHB MLB drop into coverage about 3 yards deeper than the first down line.  At that point it's decision time for a receiver- does he cross in front of the MLB or go behind?  I know what the old rules were.  Anyway, Kasper threw on the break, expecting the slot to come across flat at the first down line.  The slot, however, bowed behind the MLB.  Interception.  Game over.

Great game plan though by UWO.  I'm still amazed at the defense they employed.  Three linemen with a controlled rush- all designed to keep Jackson contained and prevent the long ball.  I found myself staring at the D Ends, yelling to "keep contain, keep contain".  For the most part they did a great job.

I know I'm a little late, but great game in the Stagg by UWO. A very exciting 10-7 game. Congrats on a great season.

Pat Cerroni was on the local Time Warner Sports Channel Dennis Krause show last night.  He comes across as a great football guy and a real cheerleader for Oshkosh.  One drawback ... I don't think he is used to putting on a suit .....
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I get the feeling he is the epitome of "a player's coach".
I'm ready for him to get a can't refuse offer as UWO seems to have a whole lot of momentum.

Outstanding news for UWW opener.  This is a road trip I want to take.
UWW at IWU

Nice.  Should be an entertaining game.

I see Stout has posted its 2017 schedule.  Seems to be the only WIAC school with a schedule out so far.

It may have already been mentioned on this board, but UWW is also playing Concordia-Moorhead, on the road on Sept. 9.

I'm thrilled to see UWW pick up non-con games at IWU and vs Concordia, two very good programs.
This is so unusual it makes me wonder if other teams are seeing UWW a little differently these days.
