Peete is  a terrific running back...would be a positive step in my opinion...Pound the Rock...

Just checked out the Game Notes and two-deep for the UWW at UWO game.
I have no idea how accurate these reports are.
The UWW two-deep shows:
-Nate Trewyn back at Center with Jordan Mueller at LT. Jordan has been out and Nate was moved into his spot for the first three games. UWW has had a serious accuracy problem with shotgun snaps to this point.
-UWW is big across the O-line, four of the five are listed at 300 or better. UWO isn't nearly as big on the O-Line.
-UWW starting RB shown as Alex Peete (freshman), backed up by Josh Ringelberg. If this is accurate, imo this is humongous news.

Getting Mueller back and putting Tweyn back at center should help the Oline.  I counted 5 snaps that hit the ground before reaching Wilbur last game.  Fortunately he was able to field four of them but one resulted in a sack and killed a promising drive we had going at the time.  Also I lost track of how many snaps Wilbur fielded below his knees.  Hopefully better snaps will help the offensive flow.

I noticed Marcus Hudson IS listed as a wide receiver so at least we're getting him back.

I am shocked to learn that Marcus Hudson is still in school, he's the wisconsin Rocky Pentello in my mind.  I thought he was a senior when Mount Union shut him down in 2015.  Has it been injury that sidelined him so far in 2017?

Not only does that name never seem to go away- it spreads.

He was a sophomore when he played against Mt, and he was a bit hobbled by an ankle injury and by UWW play calling.
He was a pre-season AA last year, and simply didn't have a good year. As I recall he didn't play the first couple of games last season for an undisclosed reason.
Also, he didn't play the last two games of this season for an undisclosed reason. He has one reception this season.

needs to clear up that "undisclosed reason" and get back out there, sounds like a playmaker for UWW

He didn't start or play the last 3 qtrs. of the IWU game either.  He sat on the bicycle for most of the first half and was in street clothes for the second one.

The 2017 "undisclosed reason" is a hamstring.

So what's the problem, we all have hamstrings  ;D
I hope his senior season turns out great.

One more day until UWW opens up a can of whoop on the Titans.
I'm believing tomorrow starts the new UWW run of excellence.

I played Rugby in college and when I was at Ft Sill in the Army. One of our less athletic, and doughier players one time was limping around, and someone asked him what was wrong. He said that he pulled a hamstring. The asker responded, "I didn't know you had one." A bit cruel, but still amusing.

Imagine the chaos if UWW beats UWO tomorrow. The raters will have to regroup, "big league."

emma17

After UWW wins tomorrow the voters will be challenged to fight their natural inclination to downgrade UWO.

Pat Coleman

In the hypothetical situation proposed:

UWW will have a win vs. (ranking TBA) UWO and unranked Wash U. Losses to current 19 IWU and current 21 Concordia-Moorhead.
UWO will have a win vs. unranked John Carroll and a game that basically is meaningless, plus a loss to (ranking TBA) UWW.

Presuming IWU does not beat Wheaton ... one could make a valid claim that all four of these teams should be in the high teens to low 20s.
