Crazy game between CWRU and CMU. Last 30 seconds was incredible. They enter OT now.
Does a CWRU loss give any better odds to a UWW team that has finished very strong?

If uww had 2 losses, I would say maybe.

It's not about how well you finish when you consider how poorly you started. Time to move on...it was over a long time ago. It's time to clean house in the coaching staff and push hard into recruiting some olineman, quarterback, etc. that can return UWW back to the top of the food chain.

Hecker was in uniform on Saturday, so hopefully he will get some carries v. Stout and be ready to go in the playoffs.
Hecker indeed sees the field yesterday, which should be a good sign in regards to his injury.  If there was any "doubt" in regards to his health, I have to think he would have been held out considering UWO had already secured the Pool A bid.

This board is "dead" compared to years past, but I swear I have been "smited" more this football season than any previous year....

I wonder why?  ::)

I'm not a smiter, but if I were, I'd smite you for using that emoticon. Serioulsy, I wish you would post more, along with other non UWW and UWW fans. I'm having conversations with myself mostly.

Ok, it's time for me to send out the "subjectice selection" karma vibes.

UWO draws Lakeland in the Opening Round of the NCAA Tournament this season.  Should the Titans win, they would then likely host the winner of St. John's at North Central.

In fact, if I am reading the bracket correctly, it appears that UWO would not have to leave the friendly confines of Titan Stadium if they were actually able to keep winning until the Stagg Bowl.

UWO and Mount is going to be a great semifinal game. Good chance we'll see a rematch of last year's Stagg.

UWO and MHB certainly have meat grinder 4-team pods to start the tournament with. Game two, should UWO  and MHB prevail, will be quarterly/semi final quality.

I admit to not knowing much about the East region teams. They will have a semi final team that will have to get through the MHB bracket, so we shall see.

Probably the one thing I'd gripe about with the bracket is that they didn't swap the Del Val or Brockport pods with either the Mount Union or Wittenberg pods, respectively.  They could have done that and scrambled the regions a little bit more.  I haven't had a chance to listen to the ATN podcast yet, but I think that's what they're hinting at in the headline tease.  The committees have gotten good at mixing and matching four-team pods to create interesting brackets and lumping all of those East teams together isn't very creative.

Proud of the Titans for getting a #1 seed. In my opinion, the winner of the the second round match-up will win the bracket. The Titans seem to be as healthy as possible heading into the playoffs, so let's make a deep run. Hail Titans!

UWO has had an excellent season, handling the big target on their backs with poise. They've had their prerequisite WIAC close game or two, giving them the do or die experience and confidence needed in the playoffs.

Congrats UWO, I do hope this season ends with your national championship.
