I'd prefer the weather be warm, dry and not windy as well as both teams have strong passing attacks.

I posted before that Mt hasn't seen a team like UWO.
To be fair, I have to say UWO hasn't seen a team like Mt, including last year. Mt knows how to move the ball via the quick pass as well as the long ball like no team UWO has played against. UWP may be the closest, but they don't have the athletes that can make things happen in space that Mt has.
My fear for UWO is that Mt nickles and dimes them underneath, with some plays going for big yards after the catch.

Heck, the cold may play into Mt's hands on short passes as stiff defensive players can't react as quickly, I don't know. I've never been a quick defensive back or an elusive receiver.

Which reminds me, how unusual to see a 6'4" defensive back? And he's a stud. AJ Plewa.

Apparently not that uncommon in elite d3 since Mount has a 6'3" dB in Austin White

UWO Titan 78

Hansen Ratings favors the Purple Raiders by 3. The 37-34 score seems very plausible. I'm hoping he's wrong. Hail Titans.

Hansen had St. Thomas 52% chance to advance over UMHB. So there is a precedent, he's been wrong before.

6'3" is tall. But 6'3" isn't 6'4".  I wouldn't say citing one DB among the many that are shorter than 6'4" exactly disproves Emma's point. But by mentioning a guy that is tall, but not as tall, you might have lent credence to it. And besides, are you really arguing the premise that it is unusual to see a 6'4" DB? Or are you just getting your game face on and taking on all things WIAC?

I'm not going to hail your stupid Titans, but if it makes you feel any better, the Bleedpurple Ratings have the Titans winning 45-35. Close game for 3 1/2 quarters with UW-O winning in the end with a dominant time of possession total leaving the Purple Raiders defense gasping the last half of the fourth quarter.

Lol i actually meant it as more of a sarcastic comment, noting the oddity that  both UWO and UMU have an absurdly oversized defensive back. I agree with Emma it's unusual.

I mean come on 6 3 and 6 4 is big for a D1 DB

So this article  about UWO foundation paying for travel cost confuses me, doesn't the NCAA pay for playoff travel?

Even more confusing since the game is in Oshkosh! :o  WHO is paying WHOM to travel WHERE?!

raiderpa

The height of the DB is not real relevant if he does not possess the speed or quickness to keep up. I can assume that he has both playing for a program the calibre of UWO, but what Mount has that not many have are three absolute burners at receiver and a Wes Welker type in Friss,  and not many D3 teams can match up.  Can UWO?  Perhaps, I don't know their personnel.
I look forward to the game. The winner will deserve the Stagg.  I hope both teams get a great effort and the better team wins.

Could be a LOT of underthrown/overthrown passes based on the current forecast of cold and windy.

And since there's now snow in the forecast for Friday night, with temperatures well below freezing, I could use a field report.  What kind of field does Oshkosh have and how does it handle the conditions forecast for the next 66 hours?

"Last year, the Titans schlepped 112 people and 10,000 pounds of gear to their successful bid for the NCAA Division III national championship in Salem, Virginia."[/b]

Somebody better get to the ASC boards and break the news to the CRU faithful.

Who knew... :o

And 10,000 pounds of gear. What did the Titans bring their entire weight room to Salem? Those poor equipment managers!

Oh, OK. I get what you're saying. We have 3 good teams from 3 good programs (don't really know much about Brockport) still in the hunt. No matter who plays who, should be a great Stagg Bowl.
My preference would be UMU vs UMHB. Bet I surprised you with that one.
Let's hope no injuries Saturday. Good luck to the Crusaders and the Purple Raiders.
Hey, Crusaders and Raiders. Rhymes!

Ahem,
Don't mean to interrupt you two on Titan Central, but...

We could be on the verge of another unique run of repeat Stagg Bowl match ups. From Mt-UWW to possibly UMHB-UWO. If so, there may be demands that both be put on the same side of the bracket.

If this occours they should both move up a division.  ;)
12-0 = 13
