Unless another team can claim to be using a drone to photo practices, RF claims the techno championship!

Whose practices are they droning?

emma--Their own. But today I heard that neighbors had objected to the drone so there was none--privacy invasion they thought.

My son's high school team has experimented with using a drone for filming practice. But the operator has crashed the drone on several occasions, and high-school aged boys tend to think it is funny to throw and kick the ball at the drone.  ;D

Good grief why in the world would UWRF care hwhat they are doing?  Do they realize they're on camera constantly when they're in public?

Perhaps some nude sun-bathers in their fenced-in backyards?! ;)

The FAA also prohibits flying drones over people. Although many do it anyway, it can be a liability issue if something goes wrong.

Here's my 2c on Carthage:

They play really well at home vs on the road. They return 17 starters including 9 on  the #2 ranked defense in the CCIW. On defense they are physical and aggessive. Their Defensive line is WIAC type physical. Very difficult to run on them and they will pressure you regularly. 7 of their top 8 DB's are back and they are athletic. The led the CCIW in takeaways last year. They can hang  with UWO up front and will pressure them. The big question is can Carthage score. They want to run the ball and throw play action. They have had a physical running game but return just 2 OL. Their QB is efficient (14 TD's and just 2 INTS last year). I doubt they can control the LOS and probably don't have enough playmakers on offense. That means their defense, which is designed to stop the run and get turnovers through pressure, will eventually give up big plays.

I expect UWO to play solid D, frustrate the Redmen and eventually solve their defense (which is how Wheaton and NCC beat them last year). However, if UWO turns it over against a very good defense, and it gives Carthage easy points, Carthage may surprise. This game is a much tougher opener than it may appear

Good stuff USee. Sounds like a great season opener for both teams. UWO should be strong in their run game, so they'll have an excellent challenge from the Defense and force them to get serious right out of the gate. Carthage needs to improve its passing game, the 2017 version of UWO's pass defense wasn't so stellar. This is a game I look forward to watching.

I don't see a bad game in the bunch opening weekend. Prediction: WIAC goes 6-2. 7-1 would be HUGE in terms of raising league profile for postseason (I'm talkin to you, Stout). They all matter now.

My two cents:   Oshkosh will drill Carthage. Possibly by a monkey stomp.

Hmm. If I didn't know Whitewater doesn't greyshirt guys, I might think that's a greyshirt.

I don't know his particular situation, but isn't it more accurate to say "the player greyshirts himself"?
Stayed in convoluted fashion:
Greyshirting is just another word for planning to graduate in 4 1/2 semesters or more and choosing to swap playing in one of the first, third, fifth or seventh semesters for playing in the 9th semester.
