Great win for the Warhawks on Saturday.  We absolutely shut down the Titans. They never advanced past our 48 yard line until their last possession! It was a sweet win, especially after the way the last 8 1/2 minutes went in our game against them last year.  To hold UW-0 to 18 yards rushing in 36 attempts is an incredible feat. I was just watching a 2018 preview the week of the UW-0 season opener and Coach Cerroni said,   "If we stay healthy up front, we are going to have a huge running game with Mitch Gerhartz and JP Perenboom backing him up."  In their other two D-III games, UW-0 rushed for 243 against Falls and 167 against Carthage. So, even though the Titan offense is struggling right now, that was a wow performance by the Whitewater defense!

Since losing to Oshkosh:
UW-W has won 10 straight games.
UW-W has held opponents to 6.6 points per game.
UW-W has allowed 2.5 yards per rush over 10 games.
UW-W allowed 7 points or less in 8 of those 10 games.
(These statistics don't include the game against non-NCAA opponent Middle Georgia State).

While many teams put up gaudy defensive numbers against weak competition, these numbers have been compiled against 8 WIAC opponents (La Crosse twice), Concordia-Moorhead, and Dubuque. Six of the 10 games were against teams that have appeared in the D3football.com Top 25 in multiple weeks since the start of the 2017 season. The average margin of victory in these last 10 games has been over 18 points a game.

Very much looking forward to watching these guys do their thing at Eau Claire on Saturday!

Nice numbers for The Warhawks since losing to Oshkosh last year. Very impressive. Makes a person wonder if UWW, loved by many, some of us not quite as much, is back. Certainly has my attention!
Best to ya on the rest of the season! ☠🏈
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Awww...this was your opportunity to say "Go Warhawks and Go Everybody!".  That would have been nice because I've never been sure if "everybody" includes the Warhawks!   ;)

That is a great video. Not sure what was more impressive ... the video or how well the Warhawks played.  :D

Until we meet again ... Hail Titans!

Annnnnd I've just added a new person to follow on my twitter account. Just outstanding.

Thanks for this, I never did see that second long TD catch. Until now.

Was tackling that game on point or what!?!? That tackle at the :24 mark was spectacular. Fighting off a blocker with this left hand as he's drags down the RB with this right hand. That's ESPN Top 10 worthy there.  :o

I also bleed purple but a different shade. "Go Everybody" includes, well, everybody! Whitewater, John Carroll, UMHB and just "everybody"! I root for every team to do well. Of course, Mount Union most of all. Would love to see every game be a real battle between two quality teams.
So, yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus and UWW is included in "Go Everybody". Best to ya on the rest of the season. See you in the playoffs? ☠🏈

That was an awesome play by Purdy! It was the tone-setter.  That was Oshkosh's first offensive play!

Broughton is the best!  Seriously talented dude.  But I think you know the answer to that!  ;)

Veracity

Broughton is really nice young man. Had the opportunity to meet him during parents weekend. His video talents are awesome, but he can still twist just about anyone into a pretzel if he wants.

Can the Titans beat the Pioneers? The D3 experts don't think so. I think the Titan offense will have more success when not playing Whitewater. I like that we are home for the first time all season. I'm hopeful. Hail Titans!

Titan's offense will for sure have more success tomorrow. UWP's defense isn't very good giving up almost 25 points per game, but their offense might be the best in the WIAC.

Yes, the Titans will beat the Pioneers. The D3 guys are just overreacting to their loss to UW-W. They don't yet realize how good the UW-W defense is and they are underestimating the Titans offense.

UW-0 vs Carthage: First game with many new pieces still trying to figure things out.
UW-0 vs two D-II schools:  Both of them had a lot of very athletic players on the defensive side of the ball.
UW-0 vs River Falls: 543 yards and 48 points.
UW-0 vs UWW: Stonewalled by a great defense.

I am guessing the Titans win this by at least 2 touchdowns.

Pat Coleman

I stayed away from predicting that game with a 10-foot pole. I don't think UWO is done yet, for sure.
