Terrific game by UWW today. Offense, defense and special teams all looking sharp.
OC coach Jennings putting a lot of plays and players on game tape.

UWL continues to roll, again showing their success isn't dependent on a couple superstars.
UWO- it was a nice run while it lasted. Nice win UWEC.

UWS- outstanding victory. Great last minute drive- dominating the line of scrimmage against UWP.

The WIAC isn't that good this year outside UWW. Bottom teams seem more competitive than usual, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams....very meh.

Anxious to see how UWW actually does against a legit team. That UWO win is becoming less and less impressive as the season comes to an end here.

Usually we're discussing how the WIAC should have three teams in the tournament. This year, there's no question, one is plenty.

I agree the conference is down from a national perspective- but UWW did what a top team should do.
UWO's descent doesn't make them an easy game for any team, as they still have a roster of players that were thinking championships when they enrolled. Their losses to UWEC and UWSP speak more about the bottom of the conference getting better imo.

I do wonder how the WIAC compares to the MIAC given the UWEC blowout by St. T and the Stout blowout by St. J. Seems they should have put up better games.

In any case, UWW should be in good shape to compete.

Can't believe how bad uwo has gotten. The fact that UWL lost to them isn't exactly a good loss anymore. Same with UWP, i thought more of them when the season started.

Weird to think UWW hasn't really been tested against playoff caliber teams yet.

I tend to think that the entire offense has played that way as a unit lately?

Except Peete today. He couldn't get going.

Kinda sounds like Oshkosh...LOL.

Only 11 first downs (3 of them via penalty), 160 yards of total offense, 1 of 9 on 3rd down, EC's suddenly stellar defense only allowed 7 points to the Titans.

Back to Peete, I didn't get home from golfing until halftime so I didn't see the first half and I don't remember if he even played in the second. What happened?

I was just looking at the stats, and to hear it from those two morons announcing the game on UWW-TV, the SP QB was shredding up the Warhawk defense. He was 13-25-166 1 TD. What were they talking about?

It's possible EC and UW-0 could end up with identical 5-5 records (ahead of 4-6 Platteville) when their seasons wrap up next week. How many of you experts predicted that one before the season started?

The UWSP offense was having success moving the ball in the first quarter. UWW had trouble defending the quick slants early on.

I think UWSP even had more 1st quarter yards than us.

How many times have we seen that over the years? Just look at the scoreboard at the final whistle!!

I think UWW is back in form... they don't have a fancy passing attack but I wouldn't bet against them!

bluenote

Linfield is just getting it together... they did;t have it together the 1st  3 games... that's why they aren't in the playoffs...

Thought I heard on the news last night that with the loss yesterday, it marked the first time UWO lost back-to-back conference games since 2011....

Noticed that Gerhartz hasn't played the last two weeks...  Safe to assume he was injured in his 100+ yard day against La Crosse three weeks ago?

My understanding is that both Gerhartz and Todarello were injured against UW-L.  I was surprised Todarello played the last two weeks.  I'm guessing he has been playing through some pain.

No Gerhartz in the stats and Todarello with only 1 rush and 1 catch. It's too bad for Todarello as this is his senior year. I've always been a fan of his play.
Yes, UWO's record is unexpectedly average. 4, 6 and 6 are the score differences in the games they lost other than to UWW. I think it's clear UWO is attempting to rebuild a team that was stacked with talented multi-year starters last year. I certainly didn't think they'd struggle this much, but I also think they are a tough out for any team they play, and that's credit to them.

02- I wouldn't be so quick to assume UWW hasn't been tested by playoff caliber teams. Perhaps not by top 7 teams, but but I'd be curious to know which teams ranked 8-25 UWL, UWO and even UWP couldn't give a good game?

Peete is fine. He was close to breaking a few long runs. Defenses are geared to stop him.

Bobo, the "morons" are students, I assume in a broadcast class. It's obvious they aren't football aficionados, which requires us listeners to focus more on the video than the audio. I think UWW does a great job with the production in that the students give us pre-game, in-game, sideline, post-game and replays.

WW

What happened to Herink? It appears he started, as did Beckham. Did they get hurt?

Lay off the "morons". You're paying nothing for them.

Just looking at their schedule UWW will not have faced a playoff team this regular season. Nobody will even be considered. That's how I was looking at it.

At the same time, yes....uwo and UWP are probably better than some of the smaller conferences that get pool A bids.
