That's correct.  The img tags embedded the image.

Now I'll tell you something that will have you supporting the Johnnies clear to the Stagg.  If you click the "Preview" button instead of the "Post" button at the bottom of the page you'll be taken to an editing page that shows you all the tags you can insert into a post.  Superscripts, colors, moving text, bullet points.  The works.  Even the italicised text I used above.

And to seal your support for the Johnnies to win the whole shebang, if you click the mouse image with the red brackets around it then you can apply almost all the formatting options without even remembering the tags you need to type.

Thanks Oz, I have cut and paste your post. I will mess around with it. OK, I am now all over the Johnnies with full support (including obnoxious posts on their behalf) in any game they don't play UW-W.  To make up for the fact that I won't swing my support to the Johnnies when they play my beloved Warhawks, I'll make this offer.  If the Johnnies and Warhawks both win Saturday and the Johnnies come to the Perk and beat UW-W in the semi's, I will change my posting name from Bleedpurple to BleedJohnnieRed for one year. (I don't know if Pat allows something like that, but pending his permission)

Deal.  And I promise that if the Jays beat the Hawks at the Perk I'll let you change your name.

bleed, you've become my favorite WIAC poster. Not just for the recent thread, but for the Fan Poll and Alternate Universe Playoff, and other stuff. If you remember, I liked to "tweak" you guys on that board when UWW was first rising to elite level. I found the arrogance a little offputting. But, I guess as a result of knowing, and not having to prove the quality of UWW football, most of you have the attitude that comes with being winners.  Keep up the good work, but, sorry, I have to root for Bethel this week, so the Johnnies can play at home if they can overcome the Cru.

If it comes to that, I don't think I can stare at that all year. So I may have to block you somehow, bleed.  ;)

Right on, who better to hang out in a tree with than Bleed?
Plus, he's got the chameleon thing going now.

Well, thanks, Ret!  I appreciate it.

No worries, Emma, I would never sit in a tree with anyone else. It would just make me miss you too much!

Hazz, nada, buddy. I felt like I owed Oz something for all his help. Plus, I figured maybe I could get the Johnnie fans to send some "Johnnie Magic"  our way if I gave them a good reason to root for us this weekend.  But alas, home field rules.

Speaking of home field, GO WARHAWKS and GO JOHNNIES!

Make no mistake, we're looking for St John's v Bethel II: The Carnage at Clemens.  The best I can offer is that I hope you enjoy watching your team on Saturday.

I'll take it!  Somehow that feels like progress! Kumbaya!

And in spite of the lack of reciprocity, we will be rooting for the Johnnies. Your amazing tradition, your bright red uniforms, your feel good small college story, and
your incredible coaching legacy all make you an appealing side to root for over the upstart, "Built by a Billionaire, Play in His Playground", CRU.

But the foundation of all good relationships  is honesty. If the CRU beating you meant home field advantage for the Hawks, the last few sentences would have looked very different and perhaps even put a strain on our newfound "truce".  ;)

Enjoy the games. No injuries! Go Johnnies and Go Warhawks!

WW

I don't know if this favors either team, but it sure doesn't favor the fans: heavy rain currently forecast right through the game time window Saturday.

Oh and Lance Leipold is MAC Coach of the Year. Purdue, I'm tellin ya.....
