Oh and Lance Leipold is MAC Coach of the Year. Purdue, I'm tellin ya.....

But yet it was the high enrollment and low tuition costs on why UWW won all those championships when he was here.  ::)

Congrats to Lance, he's the best. Well deserved.

I couldn't help myself to google search this... but Buffalo is the biggest school and one of the lower cost schools in the MAC  ;)

In all seriousness Coach Leipold clearly was/is amazing and deserves all the credit in the world for what he did with you guys and what he has done with Buffalo.

Good for LL,  the only coach who Bested LK multiple times during Mounts dynasty. Very impressive.

Fixed that for you.

LL was 4-1 against him. 6-1 if you include father and son.

Why change somebody else's comments? We all have great respect for LL and the teams of UWW. But, while the UWW dynasty has faded somewhat, Mount's goes on! Six national championships is truly outstanding. Thirteen is even better. Who knows what the future holds. But for now........ 😃

Without a doubt. I'm just grateful UWW was able to put Mount's run on hiatus, while putting together a dynasty of our own. I never thought in my wildest dreams my alma matter would win 6 championships in 8 years. I can probably count on two fingers how many college football alums can say that about their school. I'm very grateful for what Lance did here.

Not sure what the future holds for UWW football, but I'm satisfied no matter what happens (but more would be better).  ;D

When I was at Mount Union (1953-1957) they won a total of 10 games for the 4 years. Talk about your wildest dreams. I don't think I had any dreams for the future of Mount football after that. And LL certainly knew something about building a program.
Maybe years from now, people will speak about their team's success when someone will remind them that, a long time ago, there were two teams - Mount Union and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater that ruled Dlll football. They will be told that these teams had their own period when they were so dominate they were a dynasty. Hey, maybe Pat Coleman Jr., or one of his other siblings will have a story on Dlll Football - The Next Generation about our teams.
Damn, I get carried away sometimes - like now!
Best to UWW. Actually, it's nice to see you back in the fight. Too good a program and legacy to just fade away. So I'll say it - Go Warhawks! (and Go Raiders too)!

Brohm just said no to Louisville, staying at Purdue.

Interesting. Louisville feels like a longer throw for LL. The perception exists that the ACC program with minimal football heritage is a better gig than a foundational Big 10 program but it would appear they pay better, so yeah.... guess that perception matters.

Well... that's the last time I graciously concede something to a UWW fan

I don't know if LL would be interested in going up against Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Michigan State but if I was Maryland I couldn't put pen, paper and a big fat check in front of him fast enough.
