I don't know if LL would be interested in going up against Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Michigan State but if I was Maryland I couldn't put pen, paper and a big fat check in front of him fast enough.

From what I know of the Maryland short list, LL isn't on it. That Alabama OC looks like he's the clubhouse leader. And as much as I'd like to see LL climb the ladder, I'm good with that. Maryland has spent some $ on facilities but I still think they'll forever struggle in the Big 10. That league just doesn't resonate out East.

I hope he's a candidate at Iowa State if Campbell moves on. The geography would be perfect. Probably the worst thing that happens is he spends another year at Buffalo. So tough to sustain success in a non-Power-5. His iron is hot now — gotta strike.

And let's say UW gets blown out in whatever Poulan Weedeater Independence Liberty Bowl they get invited to..........

Nah.

It's a crazy political hot mess at Maryland anyway. Tough place for anyone to land right now.

But he should be, if he's interested.  I mean, seriously - Mike Locksley?  Are you freaking kidding me???

The worst of it is over, with the firing of the head coach.  And if you go into a situation like that and succeed, you're God.  (See Matt Campbell at Iowa State.)

Maybe .. but that board of trustees situation was pure craziness.

In a Buffalo News article NIU coach Rod Carey was commenting on his and his team's familiarity with playing on a Friday night for the MAC championship:
Quote"We probably have 10 guys that played in that game in 2015, and the fifth-year guys here were on the team that won the championship in (2014)," NIU coach Rod Carey said. "There is familiarity on our team, and you rely on those guys to talk about what it's like there, even though the majority of our team hasn't been there.

"This is my sixth time in eight years in being in this game, so scheduling, and knowing how to do that, there's some familiarity with how to navigate this week. It's an advantage, but it's only an advantage in the week. It's not going to play into the game. When you get into the game, it's the players and them going out and executing the game plan that they've learned, studied and prepared for."

I know a certain UB coach and staff that also have quite a bit of familiarity planning for a Friday night championship game.

Go UB!

Bummer for the passing game of both teams.

It does give us a chance to wear our fishing rain gear-a feeling of invincibility. Wind and rain- bring it on!!!!

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I'll be very interested to watch the game @UWW this weekend. Two elite defenses going at it. Except for 2 big plays, Whitewater struggled against UWO, the only other top 25 defense they have faced. UWW's #23 ranked Rushing Defense against Bethels #23 ranked rushing offense and UWW's #15 ranked offense vs Bethels #11 ranked defense.

Should be a great game.

Hope it doesn't get to warm for you in the press box tomorrow.  ;)

If it was just me I would be in the stadium. The people i'm going with suggested watching it indoors. So I caved and said sure.
