Great to meet up with the Warhawks again.

Now that we took care of the MIAC riff raff. Congrats on the win

;D ;)

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Didn't realize - for the 3rd week in a row - UWW had a pair of 100 yard rushers. The latest coming against a supposed very good defense. Very impressive.

Keep pounding that rock onto MHB

When you run the ball 50 times, you are gonna get a couple hundred yard rushers. Bethel's defense is top 10, was today too. 59 plays for 228 yds for UWW. When you only need to go 60 yds for 23 pts that's not on the defense. 4 INTS and a high school kicking game tell the story of this one.

Great win for the Warhawks but I wouldn't get too comfortable with your offensive production as it will need to be dramatically better next Saturday.

The weather caused the game to be a little sloppy and a lot defensive.  When U Dub got up double digits, they decided to run run run. A good team adapts ...

Really?  Thanks for the tip.  :o

Great win Hawks! Perfect rarely exists with weather like this in a December Wisconsin football game.  But awesome job in overcoming the adversity. I'm with WW, very smartly played. Once we took the big lead early, with our defense, if we don't make mistakes we are going to win the game. Congrats Bethel.  Really a nice, hard hitting team.  Really physical game. I know our guys enjoyed it!

On to Texas!

These are the most surprising stats to me, even more than the 8 yards passing (I kept looking back at the scoreboard (it shows stats) assuming the number was wrong). To have two backs with that 21 and 24 carries each average > than 5 yards is truly impressive. Way to go O-line and way to run hard rb's.

On the flip side:
Gibas  1.3 yards per carry, 23 yards

Thats how a good defense stops the run. Bethel failed in their run defense, when they knew the run was coming. They were torched....by two different runners.

Fifteen of those 23 yards came on Bethel's first two offensive plays of the game. Exactly 1/3 of his rushing attempts resulted in 1 or fewer yards gained/lost. I think the defense had his number just about the entire afternoon.

Agreed. And to me that is especially impressive when the defense HAD to be expecting a run on almost every play. We didn't even bother concealing the fact that we weren't particularly interested in throwing as the game wore on. And once again, one of my favorite ways to end a game. We get the ball with 5:09 left and drain it all with 10 straight running plays. Classic UW-W finish.

Yeah, to me the story of the game is the UWW defense. They were outstanding. 4 turnovers resulting in 23 points and holding Bethel to 65 yds rushing is the story of the game. That was a dominant performance.

Hey, don't short change them. It was 5 turnovers. Block punt on Bethel's 2nd possession. Block punts do count as turnovers, right?
