Had the opportunity to see both Iverson and Meylor play in high school.  Both are exceptional athletes and should be nice additions to the roster.

Iverson runs a nice slant and go route.
Of course, that route is more effective when the offensive playbook includes and utilizes the slant route.

Ohhh, I think I'm picking up what you're laying down.

I get that. To me, in effect, I'm the fan version of Pound the Rock. It may appear my posts are of no value, just as it may appear individual swings at the rock are of no value.

bleed, what's the take on Trewyn there? Does he have a legit next-level shot? I didn't know he was the only D3 player to participate in that NFLPA bowl. How about Hasty? I know he aspires, but 5-10 NFL corners are getting tough to find, and tougher yet if they're not crazy fast

I was hopeful that with the AAF debuting this year and the XFL coming in 2020, guys like this would have a chance to continue to chase the dream. I'm not sure they will. A quick scan of the AAF rosters shows only a couple D3 players.

From Wbay.com:

QuoteThe indictment alleges the Houston residents stole textbooks from offices at UW-Green Bay, UW-Whitewater, UW-Stout, and UW-River Falls. They shipped the stolen books to Texas to sell to college students.

We stopped those Texans from stealing our text books, now let's stop them from stealing our purple power.

That's been defined as a "second chance" league. I don't know if that means an NFL cup-of-coffee is a pre-req to getting in, but kind of sounds that way. And if that's the case, the same wall that keeps them from getting a shot in the first place still exists.

There's a College Gridiron Showcase, get-on-somebody's-radar camp/pro scout thing that happened a couple weeks ago. I saw a few familiar names in it, including Hasty and Henry Henschler from UWW, safety Levi Wolf from Stout and OL Wendorf from UWO. Per twitter, former UWO WR Mentkowski took another swing there too.

I just read this & could not believe that this went past the Dubuque coach, a long time Whitewater coach! Such a disappointing thing to hear about. I wonder how prevalent this is?

The staff has felt like Trewyn has been the best center in the country since he has been here. Hands down. He is exceptionally athletic for his size. He is physical and good feet and really intelligent. If he gets a legit shot, I believe he will make it.

I would never doubt Famus Hasty. Because of his size and the D-III bias out there, he will have an uphill climb to get a shot. But he plays fast, has great hips, and plays the ball really well. He is also physical and has a knack for making plays. But beyond all those things, the guy can really cover. I hope he can get into a camp. If he does, they will notice him sticking to receivers and I think he will get their attention.

So they knew our terminology and schemes and they still couldn't do diddley squat against it.  LOL I don't know if it's illegal but it's obviously unethical.  It seems the whole thing started with Smith which seems kind of unproductive if he's considering coaching in the collegiate ranks again.  Who would hire someone who would do something like this?  From that perspective it's kind of pathetic.  He puts a huge black mark on his record for something that accomplished absolutely nothing.

I think the whole thing is sad. I am shocked about one and one only person involved as he did not seem like the type of person who would do something like that. However the other person involved and how I saw he act after some things it doesn't surprise me at all.
Not sure if it's illegal, or against NCAA rules but in my mind it is totally unethical. Hopefully the schools involved take some type of action against them.
