"Titans are Champions"?
False advertising!!

Titans are [Basketball] Champions

That's like the White Sox taking credit for the Cubs' success (sort of).

Very timely analogy, Emma! Just watched the first pitch of the cross-town rivalry!

A nice article by Rob Reischel from Forbes on Jake Kumerow.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/robreischel/2019/06/23/counting-down-the-most-important-packers-jake-kumerow-is-no-27/#3d6de3c42dc2

"Between now and the start of camp, I will count down the '30 Most Important Packers' heading into the 2019 season.
Wide receiver Jake Kumerow is No. 27."

This may be a bit of a stretch, but I like the hope found in it.
UWW will have a new QB this year.

In the 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2013 seasons UWW started a new QB (Jones, Donovan, Blanchard and Behrendt) for the season, and made the Stagg (winning three).
In the three championship teams above, there was also a 1st year OC.

2019 will feature a first year QB, and although the OC is in year two, this is year one for the combination.
Over the last 12 years, only one time (2015) did the combination of first year QB and first year OC not produce a Stagg Bowl team for UWW.

I'll drink whatever he's drinking!  ;D

In all seriousness, this is the time of year when hope springs eternal for all our programs. But that's some seriously elite company you're putting the new starter in. Is there any particular reason for the ultra-high optimism about his prospects?

Hope selling season is upon us. He's either onto something or on something. We'll soon find out.

The Titans won the conference in 2015 and 2017. I'm hoping the every-other-year trend holds true.

My Blugolds have been trending upwards the past couple years and with a new coach I'm hopeful they won't take a step back, as most, if not all of the assistant staff stayed. Big wins last year against playoff entrant St. Norbert's as well as upsets against Platteville on the road and Oshkosh at home. Not looking to finish top 3 WIAC or anything, but hopefully we can stay on the road of at least being respectable.
