I've spent far too much time in Whitewater this summer. My daughter just finished back-to-back weeks at UWW for "I want to be a teacher" camp and tennis camp. It looks like they're doing some renovations on campus. I didn't see anything as nice as the Titan Bus! ;D

Very nice bus. I suppose next you'll want a football team. Good luck!  ;D

Ouch- Muc 57 w a shot to the ribs. I suspect it will be a long while before UWO can redeem themselves after giving up that 35-10 lead.

Just havin' fun with ya, Titan  78. Good luck on the upcoming season. 😜

We will need all the luck we can get, if we want to catch the Warhawks! I'm looking forward to the season. I will have to split my time on the Titans and learning the JUCO landscape (as my son will begin play at the College of DuPage this fall). Not all of JUCO is like Last Chance U! ;D

emma17

Titan 78- good luck to your son.
I'm not sure if they still do, UWW used to scrimmage COD every year. You might be able to come watch your son at the Perk.

Scroll all the way to the bottom under the "Don't Print That", second to last entry about WIAC wanting UST. Anyone hear anything about this?

"That option has made the most sense since St. Thomas was booted out of the MIAC in May and will make for a stronger WIAC."

The author cites no sources, so for all we know his speculation is singularly informed by the MIAC board of d3boards.com. And there's a whole bunch of layers to the blanket assessment that it will "make for a stronger WIAC."

That would make for one majestic feedback loop.

Grain. Of. Salt.

Same reporter who also just wrote that they were going to try to jump right to D1 a few weeks prior to this. He's all over the map. "Hey, if I predict UST to NSIC, the WIAC, and D1, I can't possibly be wrong all the time!!"

Our powers are only strengthened by the Johnnie smokefest. In the WIAC we would end up meek and humble.

If St. Thomas does jump to the WIAC, maybe the rest of the league should join them and the Pointers on the nickname format...  ;D

The Stouties - or Stewies?, the Crosses, Claires (it's a family name), Wateries, Fallies (follies?), Oshes - or, better yet, B-Goshes, the Platties (with a platypus mascot!!!!!), the Soupies (paging Justin Timberlake on SNL https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x53u81)

Titan 78:

I join emma17 in wishing your son all the best as he starts his collegiate football career at the COD.  JUCO football does have some very good programs with COD being among the historical and good programs as you know.  Many of us were saddened when Grand Rapids Community College dropped their football program after 80 years.  That was a good program and also the school provided good education for its players while providing them with the preparation and credits in many of the required general classes for the transfer to 4 year colleges and universities to complete their college football eligibility.

Perhaps your son will eventually chose IWU so you won't have to split time!  Your situation reminds me of the time many years ago when my own parents had to split time during the season to see both me and my brother play at rival colleges-but...at least that was only for one year (my senior, his freshman year)  Anyway, safe travels to you and again good luck to him.

Titan78 is Oshkosh, not IWU.

COD has some great athletes. They are a good team. Over the past several years we have both scrimmaged them and our JV played them in a game. Huge challenge for our young guys.

I believe the plan is for COD to scrimmage UWW, but they don't have the Warhawk JV on the schedule this year (they do play Carthage and Olivet Nazarene JV teams). One benefit COD does have is that they allow redshirting, so some of those players are older and more experienced when they see the field. My son considered Oshkosh and strongly considered North Central before deciding on COD.
