Here we go with week 2. Great work by the WIAC in week one. Lets see what we can do in week two!

Stevens Point vs Wabash- Point is the one team that I know very little about. If someone on this board could fill me or us in that would be great. Wabash in the past has been a good football team. It was a decent game last year. I think Wabash pulls an upset here 28-24

Best of luck to WIAC this week!

Wabash is starting late out of the gate with no game in week #1.  Not sure if a Wabash win would be an upset per se given their national ranking, but a win on the road versus a WIAC team would be considered a big win in the eyes of Wabash supporters.  Wabash has a lot of defensive gaps to fill but returns a strong running game.  Point used both QBs in a what looks to have been a close contest on the road at John Carroll. If Point can get its passing game going (which in my opinion has been Wabash's historical defensive weakness), the game will be a toss-up.   In the NCAC Pick'em, Wally has Wabash as a double-digit favorite.  I am going to take the points and hope that Wabash ends up with a well-earned road win.  Wish I was making the trip to Wisconsin this weekend but will be doing the live-stream instead.

I think this is a little overstated. Wabash should win the game, and their pass defense has been "bad" because their run D is among the best in the country for a 7 year stretch here.

Wabash only loses 2 starters on defense. They return all 3 starting LBs and all 4 DBs...

Wabash also has a transfer in by the name on the DL of David Marsh. Transfer in from Miami (OH). I think this defense is better than you give it credit for.

Not to mention two 1,000 yard rushers. A competent QB, and a BIG veteran line.

In 20 hours I might be eating my words but I think you're a little low on them.

Article on IWU and their (no lack of) confidence:

https://www.pantagraph.com/sports/college/illinois-wesleyan/iwu-out-to-prove-and-produce-a-lot-of-points/article_2aec912f-d9ff-5835-baf8-12995c4ceabb.html

IWU sure looks loaded on offense. Perhaps I should have read this article before doing my pickems.
I'll have to rely on the experience UWL gets in playing an offense like UWP.

Cmon Emma. To be fair I gave you all this info a couple weeks ago. You just didn't want to listen to me....which is nothing new.

I am guilty of only skimming the info you provided previously. The stat that most impresses and concerns me is IWU has four returning receivers each w at least 54 catches. That's incredible and I'd wager nearly unprecedented at any level.

The offense kind of sucks. Expected much more with what he hawks returned this year.

What, you don't love the wildcat?

C-M video people are bad. How many times have they left the camera on the QB after he releases the ball?
Apparently there was just a TD pass, couldn't see it but I got a good look at Oles watching it happen

It will be interesting to see the defensive adjustment to stop the hitch routes that C-M is able to complete at will.

Freshman Liam Thompson gets the nod from Wabash against UWSP. Announcers seem surprised he started over Jake Reid (senior who started last year, Mount Union transfer). I am not too surprised. Thompson was a stud HS QB in Indianapolis and can really throw the ball.

Sucks was an overreaction. A few of those drives were god awful. No blocking up front, dropping passes and some questionable throws.

But yes the camera man sucks

Makes the UWWTV crew look like genius' - and I think they are the worst production I've seen.

This officiating crew ball placements are nearly as perplexing as the camera work.

'95 Blugold

SNC/UWEC halftime report has SNC up 14-7. Under 2 minutes left in the first half with the ball on their own 11 yard line SNC gets away with what appeared to be a false start. Long pass down the left sideline and Blugold defender fell down and ends up being a 89 yard TD pass to take the lead. Once again pretty much no sustainable offense by the Blugolds.

BoBo

80 yard, 10 minute drive by the Warhawks; extend their lead to 20-10; under 5 min remaining.

The camera work was just bad.  The "sports channel" shut down twice so I had to reload it.  The picture was good and it didn't buffer so that was a plus.  But in the end it couldn't make up for the camera.

Apparently, live streaming has taken a backseat everywhere I look today. The only match for Concordia's video has to be La Crosse's audio. Both are total embarrassments.

UWSP's camera man is awful too. I don't think that I have seen a catch made today by either team...the UWSP scoreboard is not working either in the stadium. So, no one knows how much time is really left in the game. It's fun.

UWSP broadcaster says Wabash "Wuh-Bash" with emphasis on second syllable. For kicks he also referred to Bethel the same way. Despite his broadcast mate pronouncing both teams the right way.
