I'm assuming ww's "y'all" was intended only for Bobo.

UWL at UWW- my #2 vs #1, and I'll be out of town, drats.

Interesting battle of QB's from neighboring home towns. Oles from Palatine and Lewandowski from Lake Zurich, IL. Both were studs at the high school level.
You cheesey heads might appreciate- Jack Sanborn, sophomore LB for the Badgers, was Lewandowski's high school teammate.

According to my Wisconsin friends up here, we can no longer mention Badger football  ;D  ;)

They'll come around. Their loss to Ohio State wasn't shocking. But losing to Illinois? That's a game changer. A Wisconsin team losing to an Illinois team in football?  That just shouldn't happen. At any level or at any time.  It will take time to recover from that.

Speaking of Illinois, Bears fans must have had a fun day yesterday. Watching Trubisky in the afternoon and Rodgers in the evening.  But GM Ryan Pace is on top of it. According to Pace, who traded up to draft Trubisky rather than wait and pick Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes. Pace says Trubisky "has got to play better."  Ya think?

In 2017, Pace traded the third pick, 67th pick, 111th pick, and a third round pick in 2018 to move up one pick. Who did they trade that goldmine to? The 49ers. The 49ers 2019 record? 7-0.   Da' Bears!

A day doesn't Go by when I don't get reminded of how the bears acquired Mitch. What a bust of a bears QB....again. We continue to be the laughing stock of the nfl at the QB position going on what? 25-30 years now? FFS!

Thank god for Warhawk football because Chicago sports has nothing going for them of late. I can't tell with any certainty where their next playoff team will come from.

You're sadly mistaking if u think I watched the Packers Sunday night.

Cubbies.

As far as Trubisky, I feel like the Bears need to let Mitch be Mitch. To be honest, in some of the highlights I saw before the 2017 draft, he reminded me a bit of a mobile Favre. I thought he had some scrambler and some gunslinger in him. Some guys are just better when they don't have to think. Are they trying to make a pocket passer out of a gunslinger?  If they are, they need to knock that off because it ain't workin. At this point, what do they have to lose? Let Mitch be Mitch.

Sorry you missed the game Sunday night. You missed what might have been the most amazing TD pass of 2019. Plus Jake made a couple of big catches on the Pack's opening drive!

Don't get me started on the Cubs. Talk about a far cry from 2016. Hopefully Ross gives them a well deserved kick in the a$$.

It's not all on Mitch. Nagy's play calling is god awful.

You need some CBD Oil, 02?  :)

I don't know if there are any Whitewater fans here ;), but just in case you missed it Jake "Whitewater Jesus" Kumerow has a bobblehead that was done in his Whitewater gear https://fox11online.com/sports/packers-and-nfl/packers-kumerow-uw-whitewater-bobblehead-limited-release  I wish his stats in his Packer gear looked like his stats in his Whitewater gear.

He doesn't have Matt Behrendt throwing to him anymore.

Reacting as an outsider I don't know if you intended it to be, but that was funny. +k

As a Packers fan, I can only hope this works out as well as letting Jay be Jay did.

I'm going to share a story with you guys that is pretty cool to me and that I think about once a year. And that time is now.
Every year me and some buddies go out to Vegas for a "guys hangout weekend.". We're currently pricing things out for the trip. But those weekends out there always bring back a memory of me and an older gentleman sharing a moment.
So what happens 1 of the days we're out there is that we start a journey on the very south end of the strip. We get a drink at our 1st casino, get out $10-$20 and sit down on a slot. After the drink is gone, or we all lost, we move onto the next door casino. And repeat this  all the way down the strip. When we get to the end of the strip, we cross the street and work our way back up. Those of you that have been there can imagine how many stops we make and just how expensive our little trip ends up being.
So one year on our trek, one of our stops was Paris Hotel & Casino. I lost my $20 within minutes. Got up to go to the bathroom and on my way back I walk through the sportsbook. What I noticed as i was walking through was that one of the smaller TVs had the D3 basketball championship game on it. Totally forgot that UWW was in it. Or maybe thought the game was later that night. Either way, I made my way closer to the TV to watch a few minutes of it before joining my friends. I noticed an older gentleman sitting  at a table watching it. So I sat down and said hi. He asked if I had money on the game. I told him no. I told him I was from Wisconsin, live in oshkosh and was just a fan  of D3 sports. He smiled, said he was from Wisconsin and went to school at UWW. 70's I think? He played football there and had some sort of relation on that basketball team. Kid didnt play. Was buried on bench I believe. So some short time later, my friends found me and asked me if I was ready. I told them to go ahead and that I would catch up with them later. So me and this older gentleman ended up watching the whole game together. Drinks were flying. High fives were flying. Curse words were flying out of our mouths. People around us confused on why 2 people were randomly watching a D3 bball game. It was classic.
Best part was I never caught up with my friends that night. Guy's wife came down from their room to get him for dinner. She looks at him, looks at me, smiles and says "what did you do to him?!?!." I ended up having dinner with the both of them. Then the 3 of us played blackjack till the wee morning hours. We had breakfast. He told me I made his night and that it was great to spend a special moment with me. We parted ways. This, coming from a 70 something? guy was pretty cool and I'll never forget it.
If  you ask me what his name was, I dont remember. And what was significant about that year, was that  it was the year that UWW did the championship sweep. That I do remember.
Now I know it's not a great story. But what are the odds of 2 random people meeting in Vegas from the same state, linking up to watch some D3 bball game that I guarantee no one else in the city is watching? And then getting s%@tfaced together after the win? Just classic.

Is that directed towards me, Pat? Not sure what that means.
Just thought it was a good story to share knowing that 90% of the people on this thread went to, or fans of UWW.

No one was offended. Tl/dr stands for too long/didn't read and you put a little summary at the top.

It was a good story. I was thinking halfway through that it was going to end either with a trip to jail or a starring role in a movie found in the back, if you know what I mean.

Personally. I liked the story Bofa. I maybe expected more, but I also understand how these little incidents mean something more to the participants than to others. BUT, we all have such stories, and your retelling conjures up memories of similar happenings in my life. That was why I enjoyed YOUR story.

Yes, this. I opened the board while I was watching the World Series last night, was greeted with the huge wall of text and just couldn't get through it.

Reading it now, it is a good story. :)
