I'm still waiting for the story that ends in the back of a police paddy wagon or on a 'movie' set.

I've got 2. 1 I can tell. 1 I can't tell (involved super bowl week in New Orleans).
The 1 I can tell: State Bowling, Wausau, Early 00's
Picture this. Team bowling event over for a group of 20 around 7 PM. Same group walks to local watering hole. Spend the next 7 1/2 hrs there. 10 of the 20 walk to the hotel to crash for night. The other 10 decide to walk and find a diner open 24hrs. No such luck. But what we did find was a 24 hr grocery store. Plan was to buy some food and head back to hotel. Didnt end up that way at 2:30 AM.
3 people working in this huge grocery store. Female cashier. Some young kid stocking shelves. Another kid with headphones on waxing the floors.
So what was suppose to be a pay for groceries go home thing, turned out to be a free for all buffet. One guy (maybe me) grabbed a loaf of bread, opened up some cold cuts and made sandwiches for everyone. One guy halfway in one of those live lobster tanks letting them out on the floor. They had one of those big, bag your own peanuts crate. 4 guys around that eating peanuts and throwing shells back in. 2 guys racing around store in those handicapped carts. 2 guys sitting in chairs eating premade deli subs. Opened Doritos bag and a gallon of chocolate milk sitting in between them. Just people up and down isles cracking open containers/bags and helping themselves.
30 mins later cops show up. I wasn't around (back of store), but I was told tasers were drawn and big dogs barking at us. Next thing I remember we were all leaning up against the cop cars. A couple in cuffs. It was the 2 trying to get out of store in the handicapped motorized  carts. Told cops they didnt want to walk back.
Turned out everyone was pretty cool about it. 1 of the cops was friends with a guy from our hometown that was a big shot in the DNR. All we had to do was clean up our mess and pay for the food we ate. There was a picture taken that night. In the picture were 3 guys around the peanut bin. In the background are the 2 on the motorized carts. Picture was blown up to an 8x10 and hung up at our bowling center.
Story sounds like we're bad people. That's not the case. Just like to have a good time. Plus we were hungry.
Probably a good thing all of us are in our 40's with families now.

Ha!  I bet you would be hard pressed to tell a story which doesn't.

Though I don't drink it myself I believe WARHAWKS fans are responsible for introducing brandy to Salem.  The first year we're sitting at the bar and they had to send some one out to a liquor store to buy some.  He returned with a half pint.  That was funny.  He made another trip later.  After that, every year, brandy was behind the bar.

Do they still drink it in Salem?    ;)

Brandy?  Are Warhawk fans a bunch of old men?  :-*

My grandpa always drank brandy presses.  He died this spring, so after his funeral, we all strolled across the street to a bar (small-town MN  ;D) to toast him with brandy presses.  I have a typical large Catholic family, and the we all concluded that Grandpa must have scorched his taste buds at some point.  If I never have another, it'll be too soon.  :D

Truth hurts.  So 02 Warhawk is short for 1902 Warhawk?

Brandy old fashioned sweet. With muddled* cherries and an orange slice.

All day  8-)

If the cherries and orange aren't muddled then it's not worth drinking.

* I'll give u a sec to look up what muddled means  ;)

Alright, that sounds pretty decent, but it also sounds like it would give me heartburn after a few.

So.... snow. A local turf installer has made recent noise about the use of snow plows on turf fields, and that their use will void a warranty. I'm not sure same applies to snowblowers, but I'm not sure they would be a practical means of removing that much snow from a football field. There's 6 inches on the ground at many WIAC locales, many of which still have overnight and morning snow showers in the forecast.

Seriously... what do they do? Lots of shovelers? Take the chance with plows/warranties? Just play in what's there? Seem to remember last year's SNC-Whitewater playoff game had what appeared to be plowed snow piles outside the end zones but that wasn't nearly as much snow.
