That was truly an outstanding game. Looks like a matchup with the Johnnies next. Just impressive game, congrats Warhawks. Keep playing like that and nobody can beat you. Was the oshkosh game a wake up?

I can't claim to remember every game in detail, but I feel this has to be the greatest, most complete game played by UWW in the Bullis era. The UWW coaching staff coached and the players played an incredible game. The offensive line was non-stop brutal and all three RB's played like AA's.

The defense played fast and disciplined, and when UMHB had to drive the field, they were forced into turnovers- the UWW defensive recipe for victory.

And the kicking game was outstanding.

Congratulations to the Warhawks on a most incredible game.

I agree with Emma!  Best game plan and by far the best execution of a game plan in the Bullis era!

Well done!    On to the semi's!

Wow, and Wheaton pulls an 'Ole Miss and loses.

Isn't Wheaton like the most ultra religious type school there is? What could someone have said/done to get a penalty like that?

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Congratulations go out to Coach Bullis and the Warhawks, you came to Belton hungry and you executed perfectly your solid game plan. Keep that up and I see a Stagg Bowl in your future.

Congratulations, Safe travels home and a early Welcome to Texas! Shenandoah Texas that is.

Hard to tell. Cost them the game whatever it was. Discipline?

A senior Wheaton O-lineman, who was in the backfield running the ball for three consecutive plays, burst into the endzone with nine seconds left and Wheaton down, 34-27, and lost his wits in that moment of elation by spiking the ball. Spiking is a 15-yard unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty in NCAA football. It backed up Wheaton's PAT attempt. On the first PAT attempt the kicked missed -- but Wheaton bought a break because St. John's roughed the kicker. But, wait ... twelve men on the field for Wheaton! Offsetting penalties! So the ball didn't go half the distance to the goal for what would've been a much more routine PAT attempt. Instead, the two penalties canceled each other out and Wheaton got a re-do from the deeper spot. And, again, the kicker missed it on the second try.

Also, FWIW, Wheaton is far from being "the most ultra-religious-type school there is."

Center lined up in the backfield as fullback 3 straight plays.  Goes for 6, 1, and then 1 yard TD.  Was over excited and threw the ball down hard.  Enough to be deemed spiking the ball.  Not a real spike, but the ref has to call it.  A lot of centers scoring a potential game tying TD in the quarterfinals of the playoffs might get a bit excited.

Not sure exact what any of the above has to do with coming from a private Christian college.  What does personal religious faith have to do with any of that?

Now that is why we watch football.  UWW has a mediocre season, travels to UMHB and has an absolutely beast of a day.  Congrads to the Warhawks for one tough played game.  The "carry" run had me laughing at just how effective it was.  Well done.   Always love seeing a homestate team win (being born and raised in Milwaukee)....now to see if the Badgers have anything for Ohio State tonight.  Good luck next week, but if UWW continues to peak, that comment will have to be reserved for the Johnnies which I think will not have a chance......

I know. I'm sitting here in the office at church, getting ready to go over to NPU to call tonight's basketball games, and I've thumbed through three or four different translations of Bibles we have handy. I can't find a single one that has the words, "Do not spike the football."

Maybe I'll check the concordance. Stay tuned!

I saw the play, just didn't see what warranted the penalty.
