Platteville's Dan Arnold signs a 2 year $6 million contract with the Carolina Panthers.

Not too shabby for a guy educated at a public university. Smile.

Congratulations to Dan- I hope he gets many more years in the NFL.

I posted this on the Central BB Board and Pat directed me here CBS Sports is showing that Lance Leipold is on a short list to be the next coach at Kansas.

Jeeeezzz... just feels like a you-can't-win-there place.

That said, I hope he gets the shot.

I hope he gets a shot somewhere, but not at Kansas. They have overtaken South Carolina as the place coaching careers go to die.
It makes what Mangino did there nearly 15 years ago all the more impressive!

12-1 with an Orange Bowl victory over a Top 5 ranked Virginia Tech team if I remember correctly?
2008-09 and 2012-13 WIAC Fantasy League Champion

2008-09 WIAC Pick'Em Tri-Champion

Lance L. Listed on The Athletic's list of Top 25 D1 coaches. Somewhere in the high teens if memory serves.

Speaking of coaching, I think the men's b-ball tournament has solidified my belief that I'd much rather coach football than hoops (if I were to be a coach). Such incredible swings in game performance. When I watched Oregon play and dismantle Iowa I thought- these guys are going to be really hard to beat. Same thing w Loyola v Illinois. And then both teams follow up their gems with flop performances.
So much range of play from game to game.

Have any of you followed the story of Quinn Meinerz on the NFL Network show? I think he's been a guest 2-3 times.
He's become quite the celebrity, and now has his own clothing line- Belly of the Beast.
I'm not Twitter savvy, I hope this link works:

Looks like UWW hired its first ever female coach. Grad Assistant Rachel Cooper. Very cool.

Probably a long shot, but is there any relation to our former QB Club president Cooper?

Yes, Rachel is Ben's daughter.  And former UW-W punter Andy Cooper's sister.

She has also been in a support/staff role in the building for the last couple of years. She will do a great job!

I've been able to make it to a couple of practices now.  So much talent on both sides of the ball. The offense will have more experience, but the defense will be just fine, too. I know it's only April, but the work they have been able to put in with these guys this school year seems to really be paying off. The skill positions are almost ridiculously loaded and they are really happy with the O-line, too.

I think even Emma will be happy with the offense this fall!

She a great kid and I'm really happy for her and that the Copper family has added a new face to the WARHAWKS athletic family.  Rollie and Nancy have been long time supporters and fixtures at WARHAWKS athletic events and Andy finally made his way home.  These are good people.

Glad to read a fresh report on the Hawks.
I'll interpret your last sentence to mean something along the lines of- 2021 UWW O spent some time watching 2013 and 2014 UWW offense and sees the tremendous value in bringing back certain characteristics of their style.
If so, 2021 Emma is ecstatic.

Well, not exactly. But it will be just as exciting! Let's just say Hal Mumme has his fingerprints all over this offense! Kind of modified in a sense. We will not have any running backs, but Alex Peete will be a heckuva slot receiver!

We are replacing the big rock outside the locker room with a sling. (Not public yet, don't let people know).

Our new mantra:  "Sling the Rock!"
