Congratulations to Platteville QB Colin Schuetz who today went 29-37 for 370 yards and 3 TD's in leading the Pioneers to a 45-21 victory over Stevens Point.

Bleed--altho they often run the qb on fourth, they also throw short passes or hand off to the rb.

MESSAGE TO RECRUITS:  IN DOUBT? ENROLL AT STOUT. DON'T CARE? GO TO EAU CLAIRE. AT A LOSS? TRY LACROSSE. FEELIN' OUTTA JOINT? YOUR PLACE IS POINT. DON'T LIKE THE REST? DO WHAT'S BEST!

GOT BALLS? PLAY FOR THE FALLS!

WIACer--Though you could not tell it yesterday, no. 14, Kaleb Blaha, a transfer from Winona, is a good return guy/runner. He's the backup qb, but is used in other spots as well. However, he never had a chance yesterday bcuz he was immediately surrounded by defenders.

Falcon receivers making great plays as well as their defense.

Their WR's excelled at creating separation by pushing off with two arms extended as they broke on those short out routes. Refs never called PI, so they just kept doing it. I think the TD that tied the game at 28 was the most obvious push off.

Bobo for whatever reason you have a hard time giving props to the other team. The fade route TD catch by Falcon receiver #83 I believe was perfectly executed. 83 made a beautiful catch on a well defended ball. Tip of the cap to him. The Falcons made many great plays that had nothing to do w UWW not executing well.

For Christ-sakes Emma saying they "excelled" in doing their jobs isn't good enough for you? You of all people shouldn't throw stones.

At least be honest in your sniping, Bobo.  Your praise was qualified by the further claim that they only managed to separate due to the ref's giving them a hand up.  In other words, if not for the refs' reluctance to call the WRs for their obvious and repeated PI then the Falcon receivers would have been unexceptional.

Saw this from HansenRatings....

Only five teams in all of DIII have opponents who are expected to have a combined winning % of over .500 against top 25 teams.

All five are WIAC teams

**mic drop** 8-)

Makes you wonder if there's a better chance for two WIAC Pool C representatives than a guy might otherwise think.

I have 5 WIAC teams rated in my West Fan Poll rankings.

UWRF plays UWP this weekend. What's the over under on number of offensive plays run? I think I saw UWF had 89 against UWL.

Gotta love a Pete Schmitt reference in the Podcast!  :)

Hey BigMark and WW, I keep checking in for your weekly upcoming game reviews, which I thoroughly enjoy reading.
I hope all is well and if it is, get to writing- as some of us look forward to your reviews and predictions.

Gonna have to defer to BigMark as I've gone hoarse arguing the merits of Wheaton's SOS vs Chicago's over on the CCIW board. Interested in that Stout-UWO game though. Two teams whose Pool C chanced are on life support...

Oh wow. I gotta set some time aside this weekend to catch up on that, WW.

I've been on those types of debates, in enemy territory, many of times. It can be rough.
