Bitter....party of one....your table is ready.

With how much whining we had to hear from you guys about how much you deserved a #1 seed and then how you stole it from the team that deserved it (NCC) I think it's fair, since you guys "deserved" it.

Maybe from 1 or 2 guys.  I realize that this is a good SJU team, but I don't think they're great--injuries have decimated us.  Sure, I like having the top seed, but I don't know that they deserve it.  It's a product of the criteria.

A tradition unrivaled...

I know that it would have been tough to align in a different way, but, it is really fortuitous for the UWW team to play two 2 loss teams in their first two games, and not play an undefeated team, possibly in the semis. Meanwhile, for the Johnnies to reach the Stagg, they probably have to beat 4 undefeated teams, all Conference winners. Enjoy your easy ride Warhawk fans.

Only speaking for myself here and not any other NCC fan, but I think the Cardinals are thrilled to have the opportunity to host through a few rounds after being road warriors in 2019.  That experience toughened this team's resolve and is part of the "multi-year development" process that emma17 referred to.  It is a rite of passage... you have to earn your way to the mountaintop... just like UWW had to by playing Mount year after year.  Now, NCC will have to prove if they have the staying power to reach the top rung of DIII football.  IMO, the bar is high, so, while NCC took the first step in 2019, they still have a few more to take to be mentioned in the same breath as UWW, Mount, SJU, and Augustana.

Yes Bleed, 44 first downs for RF is a new Division 3 record. 115 plays and 653 yds total offense is a lot too. All in all, a banner year for RF football.

Congrats to the Falcons!  Good win and a great season.

Could the Falcons be the best team in the country not still playing?

UWRF has had a great run this year. Do they bring much back next year to keep building on or were they pretty senior heavy?

Great question.

Bethel, HSU, Salisbury are in the discussion.

Those were the three I thought of as well.  No idea how I would rank those four. I was more impressed with UW-RF than Salisbury after watching both up close, but I saw them at very different points in the season. And I haven't seen Bethel or HSU at all other than snippets online.  But I think UW-RF belongs in the discussion with those three.  Which I guess means I believe UW-RF was at least a Top 15 level by season's end.

I might add Trinity as well.

True!  Trinity must have a heck of.a defense! Not many teams go onto UMHB's home field and hold the CRU to 13 points!

RF started 5 seniors on offense, 4 on D. Half a dozen more played strong supporting roles. QB backups strong, both freshmen, including Blaha, transfer from Winona. RB returners freshmen/sophomores, but show strong potential. Fugate, Hinrichsen hard to replace. But I would say there's a good chance to be equal to this year's team.

Is Hinrichsen the best Honorable Mention QB in D3?
