Didn't know if he came back in or not, but I hope Kumerow is ok. I saw he left the game holding his shoulder after a catch

He didn't come back in. He was talking with the training staff about what was in store this week to get it right for next week. I definitely didn't get the impression it was going to result in him missing much time, if any. Bobo's keen observation is right, I think.

One of the funnier moments of today was a lame attempt at trash talking by a DePauw offensive lineman.  During a particularly frustrating stretch, after one play he shouted at one of our guys, "All Wisconsin kids are poor!"  Our guys were laughing pretty hard about that one.

Maybe he meant hungry.  Because everyone on our team is definitely that.  ;)

Yeah, because everyone is lining up to live in Indiana. What a joke....

Know your place, son.

I think our guy's response was along the lines of: "We're pretty good at football though, aren't we?"

I never understood trash talking when you're getting your a$$ handed to you.  I distinctly remember, in 2000, a Carleton player jaw-jacking at Gagliardi during the game.  WTF?  Just let your play do the talking.

A tradition unrivaled...

That's the thing. They can't let their play do the talking, because their getting their a$$es kicked. So trash talking is all they can do.

Just plain ignorant.  ::)
So young hero, ask yourself............................Do you want to go to college, get a good education, and play (basketball)(football), or do you want to go to college, get a good education, and watch (basketball)(football)? 🤔 😏

Don't surround yourself with yourself. 🧍🏼‍♂️(Yes)

One of the classic moments for me was a replay of one of the 8 or so sacks when my picture froze. All 4 Warhawk d lineman had at least a hand on the DePauw QB with his 5 o-lineman standing about 5 yards away in a straight line in an 180 degree about-face position from their original starting spot. I can only imagine the thoughts going through their minds at that very moment and that of the DePauw QB who spent much of his afternoon in that position.

True, but it just comes off as comedic, then.  ;D

I know whitewater tries to make an opposing offense one dimensional each game. With that being said, I don't think that'll be a problem this week. Central threw the ball 65 times against Wheaton. 65!!! Their RB had 4 carries.

Knowing the passing attack is coming is one thing, but stopping it is another. Lots of prep work will be going into practice this week for the Hawks, i imagine.

It's nice knowing the Hawks are rested (and will be hosting), while Central is coming off an emotional hard-fought game. I think one or two lineman were banged up for them against a physical Wheaton team.

This one could be a shootout.

Whenever I visit Wisconsin, I like to try to bring home some of the locally brewed beers that aren't available in southwest Cook County.  When I went to Oshkosh back in 2011 I got some of the Fox River Brewing Company's Fox Tail Pale Ale and some Spotted Cow.  They were superb.  What do Whitewater connoisseurs pour to celebrate a victory or soothe a loss?

Spotted Cow and other brews from New Glarus Brewing are very popular.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Haven't been there yet, but there's a brewery in Whitewater called Second Salem. I'm sure you can get a growler (or crowler if they offer it) to go.

To celebrate a victory, one choice would be the Old Main Golden Ale at Second Salem.  To soothe a loss you'd probably want to ask Oshkosh.

On that note, looks like UWO will be looking for a new coach this off season
