Congrats to Pat on a great run at Oshkosh. His recent Hall of Fame induction was well deserved. Pat is a good guy and a good coach. There are coaches who do it the right way and those who don't. Pat did it the right way and made a positive impact on hundreds of student athletes. May God bless you and your wife and your future endeavors Coach!

To celebrate a victory, one choice would be the Old Main Golden Ale at Second Salem.  To soothe a loss you'd probably want to ask Oshkosh.

Not even four hours later.....

That's because he's a douche who constantly takes potshots at UWO.
i guarantee he has NO factual knowledge of anything he just posted. Just going off of the article he just read.

This is something this board has been lacking....Passionate posters about teams other than UWW.

You know, i had to bit my tongue about a month before the season started with all the potshots that were given about the UWO program. Coming from a few, but mostly by this bleed guy. If i was to guess, its coming from a washed up athlete, burnt out alumni or a scoreboard operator. But i guess its fitting when you live or are from a small town. You need something to hang on too.

That article you just read includes all D1, D2 and D3 schools. Top marks for 3 great cities. And to that gentleman talking about breweries, hit me up the next time you're in Event City. I'll show you quit a few top notch breweries and great restaurants.

Months ago there were potshots about the bus, the newly developed band and about tradition. I don't think the former athletes, alumni or athletic departed at UWO are too worried about their tradition. And i dont think UWL or UWEC are either.

Total # of team championships:
UWL 70
UWO 47
UWW 17

Thats including D3, D2, NAIA, AIAW and NCGA team championships. Now if you want to include individual championships, the gap gets much MUCH wider. I had to go on Wikipedia to find that UWW #. If i remember right, UWL is #2, UWO is #4 or #5 and UWEC is in the top 15 list of all time championships. I dont remember seeing the great "CANDYLAND" on that top 15 list.
Looks like 3 schools have much more tradition than candyland.
Next time you see that bus, look at the number on it. Then figure out what the # would be on UWL's bus. Then lastly figure out what # would be on UWW's bus and crawl into your hole.

Its almost as if someone talks about another school on here,  potshots are rendered. "How dare anyone talk about ANY other school besides UWW."
UWO has some past success.. .here comes a potshot.
UWL has some success this year....here comes a subtle potshot from this bleed guy.
ITS D3, WHO CARES!!!

I remember when i was young my mom told me eating too much candy wasn't good for me and might rot my teeth.

Would love to hear your insight about UWO throughout the season, and not just when you're provoked when a rival fan says something negative about your team.

Bofadeeznuts

Yeah. Sorry. Meant to check in. Just had a lot on my plate last few months. But always tried to follow. I'll be around next year.
And for the record, there were whispers/rumors this past summer that this might be it for Pat. No one took it serious because he's relatively young. I have a friend who played with Pat at Carroll college and was a couple years behind him. So he cant be more than 48 or 49.
Maybe just got burnt out.
Maybe has the desire to coach HS again without the headaches. I know there's a pretty prominent HS opening close to where he came from.

@Bofadeeznuts - are you kidding?   Did you even read the whole article?  Did you read the methodology?   It says:

Data and Methodology

To rank the most livable college towns in America, SmartAsset pulled data for all U.S. cities with a population of at least 40,000 and at least one four-year college or university. We then looked at the total number of undergraduate students enrolled in local schools and taking in-person classes and compared that figure to the city population.

So you used a study that only looked at communities over 40,000 as support to bash a community of under 15,000.  And then you say it is only D3.

This is a D3 Football discussion board so I think most would say UWW's D3 football resume is far superior than that of UWO.  With that said, the UWW posters I know all respect UWO and Coach Cerroni.

Lastly, Badgerwarhawk is right, Bleedpurple is none of those things you referenced and if you had been on this Board longer you would know he champions the WIAC, and D3 football.

Looking forward to your posting next year.

Considering he was an active member of the military in 1984, that puts him at age 55 minimum. With that said, I'd venture to guess he's actually 56, and will be 57 by the time he officially retires in July of 2022. I could be totally wrong, but based on how the State Pension works my numbers would make sense.

Informative interview from long time reporter, Brandon Kinnard. 10 minutes is worth your time. Cerroni said he is leaving on his terms before all the changes happen in Division III football over the next six months. He almost left for FDL high in 2011.
