Wow, not sure Hawkins was the best QB on the field today.

Huh, not sure? It wasn't even close.

But then again, Hawkins doesn't have the Warhawks defense on his side.
The D and O lines were not close. If Hawkins had the time to throw Ww's QB had you would be sitting home instead of at the Perk next Saturday.

You could play the what if game all day shipper, the fact is he didn't and whitewater was better on both lines. In the end Central still gave up 51 and sitting at home.

I completely agree. I hate the "If only" and "What if" comments. It's all sport. The game plays out the way it played out. There are no do-overs.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

D O.C.

And that's why we all adore the playoff system

Agreed. You got 60 minutes to play. Make it count. Looking forward to hosting the CRU next week.

In my multi task viewing of the games yesterday, UMHB's passing game looked outstanding. Not only very accurate passing, but receivers and tight end making great contested catches in parts I saw of the game.
Maybe this UWW v UMHB game will be more high scoring than previous matches.

Looks like Saturday's game will be an ESPN+ broadcast.

It's amazing that this was not taken as a compliment to UWW.

With everyone taking about "how cold" it's going to be at the game, I get amused having sat though the ice bowl against UMHB in 2007.

I was there as well...I remember MHB fans walking around in regular shoes and less-than-ideal coats. And I think that was the game the team forgot their cleats, or something like that.

I love when those texas teams come up here in the middle of December...it typically doesn't end well for them.

I hope the Central QB did enough to get our secondary ready. Looks like we're in for another aerial assault on Saturday. We weathered that Central storm pretty nicely though. I'm confident our run defense will do their job, like they always do.

Yup, I remember being at both 2007 games. The frigid game (you can't call it the Ice Bowl, that designation is 100% taken elsewhere) was a slugfest. The MHB option did not endure the weather very well, with a little input from Raebel, Borzick, Ogriz, etc....
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

It was the personal ice bowl since we all froze, especially my friend who didn't dress appropriately. I did and was still almost at frost bite territory.

You got the team wrong. Bringing the wrong cleats was Wesley. They also had the problem with the cannon being fired all afternoon long (after every score, which there were many) KABOOM

That sounds right. As the years go by my playoffs memory is fading. The MHB and Wesley matchups in Whitewater are starting to blend together.

Back in Feb of this year Texas had a week of sub freezing temps. Many pipes burst, ice hanging off houses and gutters. MHB may have been prepping for this week back then!

My daughters lost their apartment in that. Power went out in most places. The girls apt was down to 36* before my brother grabbed them and brought them to his place for a few days. When they got back, Pipes had burst in the ceiling and detroyed almost everything. I never lost power in Abilene so I had heat, but the whole city was without water for a few days. Honestly, the weather reminded me of Utah. I was outside working and it was 11*.
As to prepping for this weekend, that happened right in the middle of our Spring season.  ;D
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.
